How can I not give this place 5 stars. I mean it's legendary in its own rights.First off, if you are going here, understand that's is a chill laid back mom and pop shop that has just learnt to expand and grow. It's still really faintly and sweet service.The food is just next level and the duck roti is something to behold. The jerk is great and the roti they have is so soft and delicious.The lady that used to eun the pal e is not there anymore but I heard she still makes the food but the place misses her warmth.Overall, it's an ace when it comes to Trini food.
I ordered 2 doubles and their "special". I waited for 45 mins. I had to ask twice where was my order. The 2nd time the cashier told me there is only 1 person making the special and he was working on a large order. I would of changed my order if I knew. Hands down awful service. The macaroni pie was dry and stale (maybe frozen).My first visit was not good so I decided to try them again. Same type of service. Leela's is WAY better. Drupati would never get my money again.
Extremely disappointed with my visit to this restaurant today. Called ahead to ensure they had what I wanted. Drove there and ordered my food only to find when I got back to the office that items were missing from my order. The stew chicken was dry and very bland. The macaroni pie was salty and their version of salad were stale shredded lettuce and 2 slices of tomatoes. Asked for tamarind sauce for my side order and was given pepper sauce instead.When I called back to inform that my order was incorrect, the rep on the phone proceeded to tell me that’s what I had ordered.I will definitely not be going back to this restaurant as the food quality has decreased significantly and will be informing others that I do know that goes here!Mr owner, it’s ironic that you have the time to read and respond to everyone’s review but don’t have the time to train or talk to your staff properly!You can’t even take criticism about the establishment!
I’ve been eating at Drupati’s since I was a child and they were on Albion Rd. The food never disappoints, service is always friendly and quick! It’ll forever be my favorite place for comfort food.Thank you for the delicious food time and time again.
I was so excited to try the Original! I ordered Saheena because I heard it was one of the best items on the menu. In fact I'm not from here I came from Edmonton with it on my bucket list while I was here. The food was greasy seeping through the bag. Take out is expensive and I don't mind paying for quality. But this was unreal. Also it left a film on my hands as I ate it. But the worst part was the customer service. I went to pay and the cashier said how would you like to pay? I replied credit. She said "Obviously we only take cash or debit" I said oh I didn't know that when I placed the order. I then said it's okay I will leave it because I don't have debit or cash. She said that you used our bathroom and that's for customers. In the end I used cash off my visa card to avoid anymore confrontation. I really feel like that is information you should relay to all your customers as they place orders. And train your staff in empathy and non confrontation!
I took my friend here first time to try doubles and he absolutely loved doubles ..also the tamarind candies were yummy and soft.
First visit to this restaurant after it was recommended to me by a colleague. We ordered doubles, fried chicken with noodles and bbq chicken with rice and peas. Overall decent experience - staff was friendly and helpful and food was prepared and ready for pick up in exactly 15mins as I was told. A LOT OF FOOD FOR $37.Doubles were our fave item hands down. Fried chicken was well made and so was the bbq chicken. Rice was good but the noodles tasted a bit bland and I found a piece of hair in it which was off putting.
I find it funny they offer customers who leave a good review to go and speak to the manager for their next visit. They cant handle when customers say the truth. This place used to be good but its horrible now. Friends are telling me they found hairs in their food and food is cold by the time they get it but the worst part? They dont care about the customers that experienced a bad occasion or offed them ant reinbursement. The manager is rude and cheap. Dont go here. Watch youtube videos and make ur own food as its the cleanest. These people do not careeee. And to the manager who is always rude. Change profession or change your attitude.
Been a customer of Drupatis for many years, excellent food, roti & curry. However this us my 2nd time experiencing unpleasant customer service from the young lady at the cash. She is very unprofessional, speaks over the customer and very rude. I spoke with the owners about her and have shied away from coming back just because of this particular cashier. Now again this evening, she is at it again.
Very friendly staff and good food, great value for my money, prices gone up everywhere but serving is still good, I like to support you guysFood makes me feel at home, as for the doubles it's better than Ali doubles in trinidad. Haha great guys keep it up. .
