Bought jerk chicken roti, goat curry roti, chicken curry roti, phlouri and doubles.... All 3 rotis were just okayish. Not bad flavor, not great, not better than good home cooked food, but tastes like that one aunty that cooks healthy and doesn't want to chunkay the dahl but you'd eat it with a smile so they don't feel ways..... The curry flavor was very mild, almost as if they're short on seasoning. The goat was boneless in case you're wondering, not that I minded, I actually prefer it. The phlouri was a standard chain restaurant floury phlouri with an average somewhat runny tambrin sour with it. The doubles were unbearably awful and was discarded. Lacks taste or season or flavor or spice to the chickpeas, and the bake itself was slightly below expectations. There was definitely no sauce or additional sour or pepper sauce added to the doubles, it was very dry.
I took a chance as I am usually adventurous towards small businesses and they tend to surprise you with their fare. Glad to find this friendly place and delicious servings I got some doubles goat n beef ? and a beef stew. Definitely going back !!
Amazing food. The owner is such a sweetheart. The goat roti. Oh my. To die for. You gwt for your money
This has been my 2x ordering from this place. The first time my husband recommended it as I never had a roti before, ? I ordered the jerk chicken roti & my husband ordered the shrimp roti & curry chicken.A nice woman answered the door as we followed covid protocols we placed our order & she said it would be 20 mins, no problem as we waited in the car. 20 mins came my husband went in to get the order & we drove home to eat. I opened my eyes and was like “woah, this is huge”. I cut my roti in half and omg it was delicious, tender pieces of jerk chicken & potatoes inside I was in love. My husband loved his choices as well. We both couldn’t believe that this place has been here 32 years & I’m finding out about it now, thanks hubby, ? The second time I ordered was through Skip The Dishes & Again they didn’t disappoint me. I ordered 3 jerk chicken roti’s and again moist pieces of jerk chicken & potatoes my taste buds were in Heaven, once again. I highly recommend this place to ANY who has NOT tried a roti before or has. It’s a delicious place.I’ll be back 100% Keep Up The Great Service& Food ?
Devoured a hot goat roti for lunch today from the Caribbean Queen and she is not kidding around! Wicked homemade hot sauce! Yummy everything. Super nice like my mom. ?
Doubles are AMAZINGGGG and the pepper sauce is NOTTTT playing. Lol
Lovely people working there, friendly and prices are good. 9$ for the roti keeps me coming back.
I've been there twice now and the food is delicious, had the oxtail and curry chicken roti it was very juicy and tasty. The chicken and oxtail where very tender and tasty have zero complaints.
I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices are and I was shocked by how good the rotis were. I love roti and over the years I've traveled all over the city trying different places. Picking one as the best is impossible as everyone has their unique spin but I can honestly say Caribbean Queen Roti Hut is one of the best. Easily one of the top 5 rotis I have ever had and certainly the most affordable.Short version: Amazing yet inexpensive food.Added note: I see some describing the food as bland. That was not my experience. I ordered a stewed beef roti and a jerk pork roti both of which were spiced perfectly, and I don't just mean hot. My partner and I could not decide which we liked better. We can't wait to try the curry chicken.
Food looked amazing I can’t wait to order!!!
