Rating a 5 out of 5 specifically for the, jerk wings (available on weekends only) the jerk chicken stuffed patty sandwich (coco bread is SO soft), and jerk pork (if you don’t mind occasional fatty bits, which I love). Plantains are always good too.\\n\\nTip: I like to buy a few pounds of jerk pork and freeze some for later.\\n\\nNOTE: I find their oxtail a bit on the sweet side and the jerk chicken to be repeatedly dry, even the dark meat.
Ordered the oxtail and jerk chicken via Uber eats. I found a big dead fly in my jerk chicken which completely turned off my appetite. The oxtail lacked in color and the rice was not fresh. Very disappointing experience and would not recommend.
I finally tried the famous stuff patty sandwich and man, you'll definitely need to clear your schedule for a nap immediately afterwards! The jerk seasoning has the right amount of spice and mixes well with the patty, coco bread and coleslaw. This is probably a once in a while meal for me because it will definitely fill you up! At a reasonable price, it's a heavy sandwich worth trying.Sidenote, recommend that you keep the sandwich in the wrapping so it doesn't fall out lol
To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect. On the way back to Mississauga from High Park, we were craving jerk chicken! I quickly googled “Jerk Chicken Near Me.” To my surprise, this restaurant was a minute away! So we pulled in. Upon entering, the place was clean. Two people were behind the counter, a man and a woman, they were extremely kind and informative. I bought 3 small jerk chicken meals, and 3 chicken patties. I am so happy they had chicken patties because most places I go to only have beef. The patties were very tasty. The jerk chicken and rice was fresh and tasty! The hot sauce was perfect. A good blend of spices with a nice kick! I enjoyed the coleslaw on top of the rice. It was creamy but not watery. I spent a bit over $50, which I think is worth it given the quality. We all got good amounts of chicken. Appreciate it! Will definitely stop by again.
The chicken tasted great, gravy was good.However, we bought 3 large jerk chicken meals and they put 1 drum stick in each + scraps of meat. There was more bone shards than meat.Normally when you go to jerk you get a whole thigh + drum stick for the price they are charging. It’s a shame because it was well made.
Last Saturday, I ordered the large jerk dinners for my partner and I. Was delicious but too much food. We wanted to try everything and the large comes with more than the regular size. Would definitely order again and dying to try their patties. They looked super! Not sure why I waited so long to try this place as I live a few blocks away!
As I work near this restaurant, they are my #1 go to place for a quick meal.They are fast with the prep, polite with the service and the food is delicious.I often get the Deluxe sandwich and would recommend it to anyone that wants to try something "different".Keep up the good work Allwyn's staff!
Love the stuffed Patty sandwiches but I've noticed that the bun is not fresh lately. Price up quality down. Don't bother asking for no bun. They charge the same. So disappointing. Who wants stale bread? (Underhill location)
We were travelling to Brampton for our Jerk Chicken Rice and Peas. We found this wonderful spot on the Queensway and were amazed at there preparation taste quality and price. BIG PORTIONS! Wish they had soup as well.....Have been back twice and always the great same home cooked flavour!
Amazing food, great prices and large portions and overall great customer service.Best Jamaican joint on the go whether its lunch or supper. I'd recommend this place to all my friends.
