When I saw Laos papaya salad on the menu, I knew I had to try it. I wanted to see how it compared to my mom's food, so we ordered the papaya salad and laap with beef and tripe (I think they called it the Laos warm meat salad on the menu?) and sticky rice. And boy was it delicious. We just had food at Sabai sabai a week ago where I was mildly disappointed on the portions and how they didn't have sticky rice and the papaya salad was tossed, not smashed. Bamboo Thai, this hole in the wall, had food that was authentic and tasted like home. It could have been my mom in the back making these dishes. The portions were generous and the flavors was spot on. I over heard the table next to us telling the waitress how that was the best pad Thai she's had so next time I'll have to try that. Now I know where to go if I want real Laos food!

My favourite place to eat. Been a loyal customer for over 20 years. It used to be called Bamboo Hit before the name change. Same great food.Favs: pad Thai, fresh spring rolls, chicken salad, Tom yum soup, papaya salad, grilled fish, and lemon grass pork/beef.

I had the chilli chicken it was tasty but not crispy at all as mentioned on the menu. Along with that it was not chilli at all. It was extremely sweet. If the chilli chicken wasnt so sweet and was spicy & crispy would of been better.Update: called to order a chilli chicken but went to pick up and got a red curry made. Not sure how they mixed up the two. Anyways i was pretty dissatisfied with the red curry. Ive had many, and this was watery & did not have that coconut milk taste. On top of that the chicken had a weird smell. Not sure if i will return. $22 for a red curry and steamed rice i expected it to be at-least decent.

Such an amazing Thai restaurant. There’s so many dishes I like that it’s so hard for me to choose what to get when I order . After I had my children and was getting back into shape my meals mostly consisted of Thai bamboos food, so tasty and healthy . I recommend this restaurant to my friends and clients. Try the Basa fish !!! Also the chilli chicken !! And the spring rolls ! Omg just try everything !!! My children love the fried rice ?

Been going here since 2004. Amazing food. Consistent quality of service and food. Best dishes are fresh spring roll, coconut soup, pad Thai (best ever!) house spicy friend rice and my personal favourite- chicken in spicy peanut sauce. I have international guests who love this food and always order from here when they come.

Ordered Chicken Panang Curry, Shrimp Spring Rolls and Mango Salad to share with my boyfriend.Everything was fresh, colourful and delicious. The Spring rolls were hot and crispy. The panang curry was full of vegetables (cauliflower, bell pepper, mushroom, carrots etc) and crushed peanuts. There was a good amount of chicken too. The quantity was enough for the two of us, with even a little bit left over. We ordered medium spicy and it was pretty spicy (we eat spicy) - just a bit too spicy for me.The mango salad actually had mango! Most times I've ordered mango salad from other establishments it's been mostly onions and carrots with a few slices of mangoes so I was very happy with the salad.Overall recommend this place. The only thing is there could have been a little bit more rice for the amount of curry. Will definitely order again!

Great food, good portion, fair pricing. I personal like their egg noddle and house spicy fried rice but they have a lot to offer!! Great staff, friendly location. Entire team is just simply nice!!

The food was terrible. Service was so so. I dont understand why this restaurant has many positive reviews. Compares to other Thai restaurants that have the same positive reviews, this one is a chicken one. I ordered Green curry with chicken it seemed like they boiled chicken and then just throw it to the curry bowl. It was salty as well. Not compatible with the price.

Good portion sizes! And amazing fried rice?

The best pad thai I've ever had. Also, the crispy spring rolls are to die for. Absolutely amazing. Service isn't good but these 5 stars are for the food. If you're a light eater, I recommend sharing an order of the pad thai with someone. It's huge.
