Ordered for dine-in and take-out multiple times from Katsuya, they never disappoint! Super friendly staff. Great quality food and takeout packaging.
Katsuya specializes in Japanese tonkatsu: deep-fried breaded pork loin accompanied by house sauce, coleslaw & rice. Part of its popularity is the fusion sauce options.House sauce is reminiscent of a fruity Worcestershire sauce, complementing the relatively light seasoning on the crispy pork loin cuts. Other options include curry, carbonara & chili sauces. I do wish their tonkatsu had more flavour on its own.Brick cheese katsu elevated the standard dish up a notch with cheddar & mozzarella stuffed in the tonkatsu. For takeout, it was disappointing that the brick cheese katsu was snapped in the middle rather than be split into gold & silver halves.Takeout Katsu plates were well-packed, and also came with miso soup & salad. Deep-fried takoyaki with panko coating was a hit too. Fried food never gets old!
Portions are a good size. The chicken was nice and crispy. I ordered the red carbonara udon, which I love.

Good place to stop by for lunch before shopping.We ordered carbonara loin, katsuya original loin, and karaage as a appetizer.Food was served little less than 15min. and staff was friendly.Portion is okay but it wasn't good as I expected. It was average. Chicken karaage is below average we didn't eve had half of it. I'd like to try something else next time.
I’m from KW so we unfortunately don’t have like katsu-specific restaurants in my area, but Katsuya is my all-time favourite spot to purchase tonkatsu from! The meat comes out so crispy, not dry on the inside whatsoever. My personal favourite is the carbonara one with pork loin but I’ve tried other flavours as well and everything is stellar. They have several locations across the gta so I definitely recommend getting yourself some katsu if you haven’t tried it already or you’re curious! The dressing for the salad is also really nice and light, and miso soup is pretty consistent anywhere you go so it’s nothing special but also not too salty which is great.
Good portions and the katsu was really crispy! The waiter was really nice too and offered more miso soup while we were eating
Great location for katsuya! Tried the carbonara pork loin katsuya and the sauce was lovely (quite creamy and had bits of octopus in it). The restaurant was a bit cold (even though we sat beside the heater) but the server was very friendly. There is also a 10% discount if paid in cash.
Nice food and fast delivery
Everything was delicious as always but I’m not sure if it’s just this location or all of them, but it seems their portions got smaller? Wasnt too happy about that considering their prices were increased…
