Absolutely unbelievable croissants. The reviews you will read here do not lie- seriously the best croissants you will ever have. The changing menu ensures fresh and tasty ingredients are used on the regular, and it makes it interesting to see what will be featured when you return (which you of course will after getting a taste of these delicious treats). I am looking forward to trying the breads and coffee selection next time I am in. Thank you for the amazing treats!
SO HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND A GOOD BAKERY NEAR MY PLACE. Everything was delicious and fresh. Had some great selections on bread, croissant and pie. I can’t wait to go back again to try out everything on the menu. Coffee was also delicious!!
Can’t say enough great things about this place! Croissants, breads, pies, coffee, all wonderful - as fresh as it gets. Staff is always warm and welcoming, always tells you the specials for the day. Alll smiles, all the time. Almond croissant will have you losing your mind, almost passed away in the parking lot it was so heavenly. Fresh olive bread ..that I would literally, kill for. Maybe even a family member, who knows. I recommend this place to anyone, sometimes strangers in the street when I’m visiting family in Vaughan.
Better croissants than Paris or Tokyo. These are the best croissants you will ever eat. Does that sound dramatic? Yeah, because they are dramatically great. The layers just keep going and going. You have to try them. The only downside is that they have so many layers that they're huge, so you can't bring too many home.
Love this place, over a couple visits we have tried croissants, danishes, pie and their sourdough- along with coffees. The croissants are the best we’ve had in the GTA. The fillings for their pies are delicious. Also recently found out they use and sell Quietly coffee, which is incredibly hard to get, so just another reason for us to visit.
Amazing pastries and bread! The almond croissant was the best of its kind I’ve ever had. The olive sourdough was embedded with whole olives. Love it! We also had lamb ossobuco pie which was also really good! So much meat. Can’t wait to go back and try other goodies.
I think this is the best cappuccino I've ever had hands down; smooth, the right temperature, and only one appropriately large size (no XXL cappuccino like Starbucks does). We also tried the plain croissant, the pistachio croissant, and the chocolate chip cookie. Was really impressed by all three, especially the pistachio croissant because it wasn't sickeningly sweet like some stuffed croissants are. Can't wait to come back!
OK, I so wish that I could give a couple more stars. We have made the trip from Aurora to Bartholomew's a few Saturday mornings now and tried a selection of their fantastic creations. Everything that they make is brilliant. You can tell that they truly love what they are doing & wow are they ever good at it.I've lived in Paris and used to wake up the the smell of freshly baked croissants from the bakery on the ground floor but these guys take it up to another notch or two.Today, I tried their pulled pork pie for the first time. What an experience! For those of you that know old Montreal, this was as if someone took pulled pork from the Bar B Barn and put it in a flaky pie. Just brilliant!And to top it off, the guys are just so friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. So glad that they are around.
Update: I go to Bartholomew Bakery every week now. Their sourdough and baked goods are immaculate and the owners are super nice. They rotate new menu items weekly. Truly masters of their craft. I can’t stress how good these cookies are. When you’ve got everyone in the city doing obnoxiously large cookies with different fillings, the cookies at this bakery really do outshine them all by keeping it simple.I’ve tried a lot of cookies in the city and their Toffee Pecan cookie is the best I’ve had. They’re all good, let’s be real.I was going to try a diet soon but after finding this place a short 3 minute walk from my workplace, I’m not so sure that will be happening.Also, thanks for being super polite when I walked in this morning. Your kindness shows and it goes a long way.
