I have been shopping at this store for years but after tonight, they’ve just lost a customer! We were at the self check out around 8 pm, we started scanning our first item that was a pre packaged bulk item, my boyfriend scanned it and tossed it in the bag...before we could even realize he needed to leave it on the scanner to weigh it, the cashier that was on duty for self check out walked up to us and very rudely stepped right in front of us with an attitude saying ‘sir, you have to leave it on the scanner so it can weigh it, I’ll have to get in there now and fix it’! She didn’t say ‘excuse me’, or even try to explain how it worked, she just literally barged her way in front of us with major attitude. If she had given him another second, he would have realized what he’d done because the scanner would not scan the next item and he would have figured it out himself. When we told the other cashier about her being rude, she was not much better and basically ignored us! If there’s one thing I can’t stand is rude staff, if you don’t like your job, quite...don’t take it out on your customers! This was a grown woman, you’d think she would have more basic manners. This stores staff seems to lack basic training and they definitely are not trained properly to deal with customer service issues, they can’t seem to resolve anything without insulting you! It’s happened one too many times here and tonight was enough, I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Picked up a Valentine's day card and some purple Hyacinths for my wife. People at the florist counter were very helpful. A little hint to you guys out there. It's going to get busy and stuff will be scarce. LOL
MKaren in the flower department was amazing. Helped me big out some nice flowers for my grandma and stayed within my budget. Will be back just because of her! Thanks again Karen!
Just came back from the grocery store. A basket of clementine cost $5.99 and its all bad. We work hard for our money. ZEHRS Knows the quality of the produce on the shelf. ZEHRS selling us bad fruit and they don't care they have it on the shelf for sale.
If you are looking to get ignored and treated like garbage, head to the fresh meat counter. I've been going here for 5 years now and the only good, polite service I get is from the teen/early 20 guys that work at this counter (unfortunately they're only part time). Went in tonight and waited for 10 minutes while the lady cleaned mats and equipment. She definitely saw me but didn't come to help me. Another worker walked by and I asked her if the meat counter was closed. "I don't work in this department." And she walked away. I went to grab some other stuff and circled back. This time I waited only a couple of minutes and then Kalan came over to help me (thank God for Kalan). He was apologetic and didn't seem surprised, but was very pleasant to me (as he usually is). I understand some people don't like to work with the public, it's not an easy job. Perhaps then don't put them on a customer service counter. I wish the other Zehrs had a fresh meat counter so I could go there instead.
Every time my husband or myself try to get any customer service from the meat counter all of the workers continue to chat and glance over and pretend not to see you. You could stand there for 10-15 minutes and they will continue to cut the meat and chat and I guess not hear or even see when you pace back and forth. I’m not even exaggerating when I say this has happened more than ten times. Meh oh well I’m thankful to have found better meat and service at Dipietros.
What can I say about zerhs but overpriced! Back in the day I used to get my produce there but nowadays other grocery stores go through so much produce it’s always fresh too with a fraction of the cost. I only go to zerhs as soon as they open to buy their discounted meats.I foresee in time zerhs will be like Sears once the baby boomers are gone. Closed
I have shopped at this store since it opened, post KMart. Used to love coming here, but Loblaws has gotten greedier and greedier to the point that I literally cannot stand to enter the building without steam coming out my ears. Went in about 3 months ago for a few things and came out with nothing. My wife just talked me into going in with her the other day, and it has been changed (renovated) to the point of uselessness. Walked out again. Sorry guys but your pricing structures, “club membership” and lack of care for your customers has sealed the deal. I’d give you zero stars if I could.
This is the only regular grocery store that does not bag my groceries. I have been to other zehrs, fortinos, Sobeys etc and they all bag my stuff. I done going here, it’s not cheap. If I want to bag my own, I will go back to food basics.
Amazing place! All the products are so fresh!Loved it!
