Plastic gravy container shoved into the mashed potatoes. Who knows what germs are on that Plastic container. When I brought it to their attention, they ignored me!
Ordered my delivery today and received the email confirmation at 15:46. I live across town and my dinner was at the door at 16:03- hot, accurate and delicious. The delivery here has always been 20-30 minutes for me and the food is always consistently good. The drivers are always pleasant and polite.
Tonight the restaurant was not busy, in house dining or take out/delivery and still it took almost 25 minutes to package a salad and chicken club wrap with fries. The major hold up seemed to be the crispy tortilla strips on the salad. By the time I got home, 5 min car ride, the fries were cold and the dipping sauce was only warm not hot. This was not the fault of the trainee at the counter. It appeared to be the cooks as I heard her ask for them, then worried about asking again.Also I was not impressed with one of the counter girls using her bare hands to make the salad. I only hope she washed her hands first. Management should go over health and hygiene with staff again. It never hurts to have reminders.
Last night our order arrived in 1hr20min. Was missing an item so I called the store. They offered a replacement and a complimentary piece of cake. We waited an additional 1hr40min for the missed item and the driver also mistakenly left us someone else's order. Not only did this poor person not receive their order; we were given her name, number, address etc. which is obviously a privacy issue. I called the restaurant to let them know and apparently this person already called to complain and was having it remade. Guess we weren't the only disappointed ones.Oh and to top things off, the complimentary piece of cake they gave us was expired!
First let me say that I love Swiss Chalet. The food was fine. The wait staff were attentive. What I didn't like was that I went to use the washroom and 3 of the 4 stalls had no toilet paper. Two of the stalls were really dirty. I went to wash my hands and there wasn't any soap at all and the two towel dispensers beside the sinks were empty, there was a towel dispenser on the opposite wall that had towels. It did not instill confidence in the cleanliness of the restaurant. I brought the Manager into the washroom to show her how bad it was.
Ordered for pickup. They gave me the wrong fries. They also stated the order would take 15 min. I arrived at the 15 min mark. It had already been cut etc and bagged. This annoys me. How long had it sat there. Then I have to drive to my place. The food is now cold. Not a good experience Swiss Chalet.
Chantel is absolutely the most kind and amazing server! Super good personality and always checking up on us making sure everything was okay! Great experience.
They said they were extremely busy and my meal would take an additional 10 minutes. I sat in a completely dead parking lot waiting for curbside pickup. After waiting in my car over 30 minutes I went in and she lied and said she didn't have my order. I insisted and showed her the text they sent me as well as my online order. She checked and it was just sitting there waiting for nearly 40 minutes. I then waited while they made fresh fries because the ones they first made went cold while I waited in my car for them. When we opened the chicken it was absolutely disgusting and soaping wet about a centimeter of white goo on the bottom of the box. They also forgot butter.
We placed a rather large order for our family tonight and nothing was missing which is usually rare for us placing an order anywhere. We really appreciate the way our meals were packaged up and the exceptional service we received today. The only thing that was missing was the regular seasoning that comes on the perogies that we love so much, otherwise everything was delicious, fresh and hot.
Ordered food ahead of time and pick up is 6 pm. It's 6:10 now, there's about 5 people ahead of me. They have one person trying to do take out and pre-orders. Even though my food might be ready, I have to wait behind people who are placing an order. They can take the order online they just can't execute on getting you your order!
