Literally just finished dining here a few mins ago. Amazingly quick service for 3 dinners, fresh and piping hot food... we've probably waited longer in a McDonald's drive-thru.I wish I could remember our servers name as he deserves recognition. (Young guy, probably late teens)It's always nice when you can have some light chit chat with the person serving you. He was super friendly, warm and checked in on us the right amount... definitely a people person.Second time dining here, and will definitely be back.
it was very yummy, the whole family enjoyed it. My mom ordered a side of peanut butter and they happily found some. She was very embarrassed but it was great service. Would recommend to anyone :)
The sandwich was pretty good, the fries not so much. They seem to have gone with a cheaper, wax covered fry, probably cheaper on their end. Good protion size though. However, I have never felt so rushed to eat a meal I was paying for. The waiter seemed like we were inconveniencing him for being there a bit past their closing time. Next time, don't seat someone who may stay past your posted closing time.
We stopped here last evening for dinner. We had not eaten here since before Covid, but had always enjoyed the food here in the past. We ordered chicken parmesan and veal parmesan. It looked delicious when it came to our table. One bite into the very dry, tough chicken, my husband called the waitress over and asked if they could substitute the chicken for another meat as he couldn't eat it. The waitress took his plate away and came back and said that the manager would not replace the chicken and we would have to order a different meal. My husband said to just take the chicken off and he would just eat the spaghetti. The "marinara" sauce on my spaghetti was sweet tasting, closer to a barbeque sauce. I did not enjoy it. My veal was tasteless, other than the sauce and cheese on top. When we received the bill, we were still charged for the chicken! Also soft drinks overpriced at [email protected] We were hungry and tired, but, unfortunately not impressed at all. We will not be back .Our waitress was sweet, and I know it wasn't her fault. She seemed reluctant to tell us what her manager had said. The manager did not come to the table.
Acanac another internet rip off, quoted one price, invoice says another price, charged another price on credit card. Their customer service is out of Egypt. They do not understand what interest is
I was at breakfast this morning, first time back since re-opening after Covid. My rating has nothing to do with food quality, it is all to do with service and mainly with the server named Margo. My companion and I were both shocked at how unfriendly and detached she was. Even though she was wearing a mask you could tell 100% that there was no smile under it! For an 8am Monday breakfast there was no friendly greeting. Margo turned and walked away from our table as my companion was speaking to her. If she had stayed to listen she would have heard him ask for water, no ice. He received water with ice. My companion had to ask a couple of times, for Margo to speak up as he was having trouble hearing her. When we were done she automatically brought one bill. When I requested separate bills she just turned and walked away leaving the bill she had brought on the table. We had no indication that she was planning on returning with separate bills. It made for an awkward situation for my companion and I but she DID return with separate bills so all was good in the end.My suggestion for the restaurant is to hire staff who really WANT to be there and have a cheerful personality especially first thing in the morning! My suggestion for anyone going early for breakfast, ask for a server with some life in them.
I often come to the location to fix their coffee equipment. I Was very shock to discover that one of their new employee, a young boy with a spike hair gave me a very rude remark. In order to fix one of the equipment I needed to pull it forward to get to the back. He noticed that as I was pulling the equipment forward, some of the items beside it like tea racks,etc may get push and drop to the floor. Since I have been doing it there for so long, I was fully aware of what I was doing. But this boy came up to me and angrily said, ' Don't drop them of on the floor or else I will let you clean it up". I joking ask him if he is the owner's son or somehow related. He ask why do you ask that? I replied to him that because he uses such an authoritative and and strong language.He did not know what I was talking about.My point is that if he is like that to me, imagine what he is like to the customers. Restaurant owners should not be hiring people like him.
Use to really enjoy this place for breakfast. Today after receiving what we ordered, we had to wait for the server to ask for utensils. We got a fork and a napkin and she disappeared before we realized we had no knives. Had to wait again for those. French toast - egg had been poured onto the bread and cooked. Inside was dry white bread. All meats had clearly been deep fried. Toast was only toasted on one side. Not an enjoyable breakfast at all.
Eat here.It’s a great spot. Portions are incredible. Food is quality, like mom cooked it. Service is friendly but not too friendly (some diners can be a bit much).Give it a go. Get the roast beef.
This meal was a big disappointment!! We haven't been here since just before the plandemic. The service this time was ridiculous! The server didn't put our order into the kitchen staff in a normal timely manner.... It was close to thirty minutes between ordering and food showing up at our table! Then the server did NOT provide cutlery or napkins until we asked. She seemed to be annoyed at the request. My mother's coffee was stale and the amount of fries with mom's "jumbo Montreal Smoked Meat" was less than half of the serving given in the past.The restaurant must be under new ownership, because the serving sizes were much smaller than the past, both the men's and women's washroom were a filthy mess, and the service was terrible..... The bill was nearly $50 for a hamburger, Smoked meat sandwich and non-alcoholic drinks!! After being customers for close friends 20 years, we won't likely be back again!!!
