Had some good meals and some that were just OK consistency varies but overall the combo plates are usually a decent value.
Ordered lunch for the office today. Two dinners for 8. They had it prepared in less than 30mins and it was hot and fresh. There was 15 people and plenty of leftovers. I would definately recommend this resturant. Also if you pay cash they throw in some free apps. I will definately be going here again for some great tasting food. I had lots of compliments on the food choice today.
Worst Chinese food I had ever. Very expensive, very little when compared to other takeouts. Served the left over from afternoon when I ordered at 5:30pm. No taste at all. Throw the food in garbage.
There are days we're I am looking for real Chinese food and there are days we're I just want Chinese food. This place falls on your everyday Chinese food category.Clean area and from what you can see from the front meaning clean looking in the back. There food was regular and I was not super impressed but also satisfied with the flavors. It is better to order by numbers so get to know the menu.This restaurant gets the job done but is not looking for and Michelin stars. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a quick grab.
If you're looking for some extremely mediocre food, this is the place for you. Portions were decent but quality is completely lacking! The chicken "balls" are not crispy and the sweet and sour sauce tastes old/dusty. A lot of the dishes we ordered were lacking so much flavor. Worst I've had in a while, feels like such a waste of money.
I've been coming here since this place opened. I must say that I do not have any complaints. I have yet to have a bad or a hit and miss meal here, but that's just me. Everyone is different of course.I must say to the public, that if you're going to be reviewing Chinese Food places like Dragon City, Ginger Express, New China Kitchen, Shanghai Restaurant, Mama Jean Kitchen, etc, or what I like to call these places is the "Canadian version of Chinese Food". As funny or questionable as that sounds, we must review them in that fashion. We can't compare these places to a higher end, more extravagant, and more authentic cuisine places. We have to review them for what they are. And what they are is a Chinese Take Out Food place, period. For people that want something quick, easy, affordable, then these places are for you. Now in the flavor department, Dragon City delivers too.Dragon City gets a 5 out of 5 stars from me. I know to some people who may read this may think, 5 stars!!?? What are you nuts!!?? I'm reviewing Dragon City for what they specialize in, and they deliver on all counts since the beginning I've been going.When it comes to the attitudes from employees, I haven't had any issues because I'm respectful. It doesn't cost anything to be nice to people. It is not easy to own and run a business. You're going to have your slow days, and you're also going to have your busy days. So, if you are going to order on the weekend, regardless of whatever time you call, be prepared to wait if possible. You may be lucky and may have your food ready for the times you were expecting but sometimes it doesn't work out that way because of the high volumes and demands on the weekend. I'm only 1 person and sometimes I have to wait 20-30 mins on the weekend when I order. During the week I only wait 8-10 mins and I order ahead of time so when I arrive my food is already done. I just pay, pick up and go. And I'm always respectful regardless. So with that saying, do you see the big difference in wait times when ordering during the week as opposed to ordering on the weekend???? A MASSIVE difference. In the end I'm not there for the people I'm there for the food.Keep up the good work Dragon City and don't let the negative feedback get to you. And the same goes to the public...please don't let the negative reviews bring you down. Give them a chance and critique them for yourselves and not for what other people say.
High prices for chinese food, they also charge $ 1.50 service fee to order on line, and you have to pick up yourself, then get an additional charge. The restaurant is always dirty. Staff not fully masked or wearing their masks properly. Will never order from this place again.
I walked-in and got my order within 10 minutes considering it was during lunch hour! Wowza! Talking about swift and efficient service! A big kudos to the crew.I ordered the Hunan Shrimp and the Lemon Chicken. The shrimp dish was loaded with veggies more than shrimps but tasted really good. The Lemon Chicken was actually the best one I’ve ever tasted. So light and crispy and non greasy and the sauce was incredible!Will definitely be back!
We ordered food last night and honestly it was very disappointing - the egg foo young was SO salty we couldn’t eat it and there were crunchy bits of egg shell inside. The crab wontons weren’t cooked fully - they were doughy and chewy and white instead of golden brown (also seemed very stale). The fried rice was so dry it was crunchy. The only yummy dishes were the chicken balls and the Cantonese show mein - except there was not enough sauce in the chow mein and the noodles were crunchy instead of soft (still ate this but they tasted stale). We will probably order from a different place next time
We ordered food online on Christmas Eve and were told it would take two hours, which is fair, it was a very busy night - we live down the street and we called and were told that we shouldn't pick it up because it'll be there within the two hours. After 3 hours we called again and said it would be another half an hour, at this point, we had family and friends over with hungry bellies and we were all waiting.. 45 minutes later we called again and they yelled at us over the phone saying it will be another 40 minutes and kept saying we will cancel the order every time we asked a question - similar to a 12-year-old. Most of our family ended up leaving hungry, and the best they offered us was 10 percent on our next order. During this time, they shut their phone lines down and we couldn't even cancel. The delivery came after 5 hours when everyone was gone, and I was left with an order for over 5 people. Terrible. If I could give 0 stars I would.Response from the owner: It was over 4 and a half hours, and the staff I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude, raised her voice, and did in fact threaten to cancel multiple times. There are reviews for a reason, and it won't do any good to discredit what your customers have to say.
