Excellent is the word that best describes this place. Decor and atmosphere are pleasant, the food is authentic, and delicious. The prices are appropriate given the quality of the ingredients and the final product.(Update): 5 Years on, this restaurant is still delivering consistently delicious, well-made, authentic Japanese cuisine, and I can't wait to come back again.
The omakase is beautifully prepared and has a variety of dishes, so it's quite suitable for people who may not necessarily want to eat a lot of sushi. Really love the seasonal variation they have for the dishes
beautiful food that is hidden in such a quiet plaza! must try! very authentic and the amount of unagi given in 1 piece of sushi is a bit bigger considering other unagi sushis i've tried in other restaurants.
Best Sushi in Oakville-Burlinton-Hamilton, least 4-5 times visit every month(Lunch+Dinner) before covid, enjoyed their omakasa too. Best Chu-Toro and O-toro in the region.Must try Una-Don and Curry in their lunch menu.Quality went down a bit during Covid take out service and after reopening.
Took my partner for dinner here. What an experience. Hard to believe a sushi place like this exists in the area. The fish melts in your mouth. The sashimi are portioned properly. The rolls are amazing.Let me say the miso black cod was the star.Anyways, I'll be coming here for my special occasions.Wow. I was just mesmerized by the food here. Fresh, good quality sushi.
Undoubtedly, the best Japanese restaurant in this area. Loved the food, perfectly done… beautiful to see, tastes even better.Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is very good.Worth every penny.
This is some of the best sushi I've had in Canada. However the price is very high. This is the type of place where you would bring a date (preferably someone who doesn't eat much). This is a place where you will get quality over quantity.
We had the Omakase for our anniversary dinner. We were very excited to be able to go to a more upscale Japanese restaurant in Burlington. We usually head to places in Toronto to eat fancier Japanese and we loved every bite. The Chawanmushi (savoury egg custard dish) was divine & we ate some dishes that we'd never had before. I especially loved the soup in the ironstone teapot. The sushi was also amazing. Would definitely come back & bring people. Elegant & simple decor and nice service. The quality is reflected in the pricing and should not be compared to the run of the mill sushi restaurants that are usual found in Burlington. (which we also enjoy for our regular sushi cravings). If you looking for a authentic Japanese food, I highly recommend coming here.
This is an absolute gem of a restaurant, I could not have been happier with the experience. Went with my fiancé for his birthday, we had the 7-course omakase dinner. Each course was phenomenal - although I was already starting to feel full after the second course, I couldn’t help but finish every last course since everything was so delicious. The pride and care that goes into these dishes is evident. This was one of the most memorable meals we’ve ever had - if you’re thinking of going, go!
Excellent food in both taste and presentation. We will definitely be returning to enjoy another meal.
