85 degrees inside. Waitress came once to refill coffee. Toast was warmed up bread. No color at all. Sausage barely cooked bacon burnt on one side and raw at the other. The only reason its not a one star is the over easy eggs were cooked right. (No uncooked egg whites). And lastly the homefries had no crisp just mushy warmed up boiled scallop potatoes. Very dissapointed. We wont even mention all the flies...
My friend and I frequently go out for breakfast and sunnyside grill is the place to go. Amazing service; fast, efficient always with a smile and good vibes. The food is amazing, if you haven’t tried the breakfast poutine you need to!!It’s a cozy, comfortable place to go to when you’re looking for a delicious breakfast and a pleasant time.
This may have been our worst breakfast experience ever. It took 50 mins for a simple omelette and french toast order. French toast was not well cooked, side toast with the omelette came out wrong. The place was not even too crowded. Never coming back here.
Server was sweet with the kids, but I couldn't believe the price of the food for the kids. Tiny juice cup for each kid, on top of a full meal price (chicken nuggets and French fries... 13.99???).And the yogurt we ordered for our littlest kids showed up 5 min after the food for the rest of the table, which did not go well.So it wasn't a good experience for us at all, but I can imagine for others these same things would not be an issue.
Great food, great service! My weekend breakfast go to!
After a friend’s recommendation I went for breakfast having the California Benedict which was recommended by the server. Loved it! Staff were great, very friendly atmosphere. I will be back.
We waited close to 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Potatoes were dripping in oil, cold and tasted like they were canned. Our toast had butter soaked all the way through and eggs were rubbery.
Always consistent. Clean place, hot food (breakfast or lunch). I have never heard a "oh sorry new staff" excuse. Great taste for a reasonable price. Usually there 3 times a week.
Food is good and plentiful. Place is clean, waitresses are on their toes, watching if you run out of coffee.
I used to visit Sunnyside Grill every weekend for dinner with my girlfriend for around 4 straight years. We hadn’t been in a while due to moving out of town, but recently moved back. The food’s still good, but the prices have virtually doubled for everything. No longer a cheap breakfast option, which was disappointing. Two eggs + toast is $6.99, or you can add bacon for an extra $3.00. I can’t rationalize $7 for $.30 worth of eggs.
