I have been a customer of Sotiris from their time on Plains Rd. to their now location on Harvester Rd. The food is always good, the calamari and the Greek chicken salad are my favorite! Nothing compares, all their food is actually fantastic. My only complaint was as we were waiting in our car to go in I saw a gentleman peeing on the side of the building near the side door. Just thought it was a tad gross. I am sure employees have washrooms they can use and if you are going to do that maybe not do it at 7 pm when it is still daylight and people can see. I will definitely be back just wasn't impressed with that sight.
Good food but servers are not attentive.We sat at our table at 1pm and got our food at 1:27pm. It just took longer than expected.I had my bridal shower there in 2018 so I wanted to take my husband there because we were in the area. He liked the food but not the service.
That was a nightmare. Got there and it looks like we were seated at a table not assigned to a server because all the tables around us were being served, but alas, not ours. After about 20 minutes of waiting to be acknowledged, a very tall guy who was clearly not a server brusquely asked us what we wanted. I ordered the grilled fisherman’s platter and my wife the chicken souvlaki. The salad came as expected. However, the main course never came because after 40 minutes of waiting, again, we just had enough and decided to leave.That said, what really made me mad was the attitude of a young girl who was cleaning tables, who also seated us, when we said we wanted the bill because we were leaving. She asked "who is your server?" to which I replied we didn't seem to have one. She kept on cleaning tables as if we didn't exist. At that point, we just got up and I asked a lady at the bar to help me. We offered to pay for the two salads and a bottle of Perrier but a manager decided to void the transaction.We have enjoyed Sotiris in the past and hope this very bad experience is not the new norm.
My Dad and I were there on Friday, around 3p.m. from start to finish our service was AMAZING! I feel so bad as I forgot to ask our server what her name was. who ever you are you deserve a raise! We used to go to Sortiris all the time when we lived in Burlington. We have NEVER had a bad meal in the restaurant. We happened to be in Burlington that day and my Dad wanted to take me to a nice place for a late lunch/early dinner. of course we chose to go to Sortiris. Duh!!
Awesome food and service at Sotiris last night!! Marina, our helper, went above and beyond serving our small family gathering celebrating our daughter’s confirmation. Great portion size, fast and very accommodating service, clean place. We will definitely be back!
You just dont get anymore authentic than this...wonderful food and the portions are huge!
I had a difficult time putting together this review because there were some great points and some very poor points of our experience last night, which was our first time at Sotiris.Pros:-Beautiful restaurant-Delicious drinks & foodCons:-Waiter was inattentive and unfriendly. Never checked up on us after food was delivered to see how it is, never checked up on us to see if we needed more drinks, and seemed irritated when we would flag him down to order more items-We were seated in the first table closest to the door, which was a nice booth, but between the door constantly slamming closed, the cold air from outside drafting in, and hearing the commotion in the kitchen beside us, the ambiance was quite disappointingI'm not sure if we will return in the future. The quality of service alone was pretty disappointing considering the price points of this restaurant, or for any restaurant to be honest. I can only remember receiving service this poor maybe once or twice in the past at an East Side Marios and another restaurant in that group.
Ordered take out.(2 chicken souvlaki dinners)Unfortunately the potatoes were raw.And the chicken souvlaki was lacking any flavour besides charred, which don't get me wrong is tasty but I expected it to have a different flavour tonight, more in line to what I was ordering.
Delicious! Very friendly staff. Good family restaurant... reasonable kids menu. Very clean atmosphere.
Food was amazing, our server Marina was not. She was either on drugs or drinking. She was too flirty with my boyfriend and seemed like she had no idea what was going on. This was the most unprofessional service I’ve ever experienced. The only thing that saved our night was the food, it’s always so good. I am extremely disappointed with the service we received and I really hope she learns how unexceptionable that was. Also, if you decide to drink or something else while working, make sure you’re guests can’t tell.
