Pita was cold, meat was cold (and served out of a metal dish, instead of off the spit) and overall pretty tasteless. Instead of using a standard pita press they burn the pita by throwing it on the grill, and even then for only a few seconds, enough to make the pita taste like charcoal, but not enough to warm it thoroughly. Only good thing is that they did put a lot of meat, hence 2 stars instead of 1.
We have been coming here for years. We always get the chicken shawarma family dinner which I would say feeds 5 adults. Food is always great and reasonably priced. Owner is always friendly and aims to please. Love the garlic sauce?

The sole owner that worked there has cheapened out in the past year. Last time I went there the pita bread was super dry, over burned and falling apart, overloaded with too much lettuce and the tiny amount of chicken which was not freshly cut from the grill it was in a pan sitting there for a long while all dried up and Sami cold. The amount of meat given was a travesty it looked and felt like a single spoon. Ultimately I was eating a wet, falling apart pita with lettuce. Never again am I coming back there again. And if you’re a new potential customer I would suggest keep a really close eye when he prepares your pita and starts putting on toppings. I will no longer support this business that is too cheap to deliver on its expectations yet charges a hefty amount for the product.
There are way too many bot fake reviews on here lol You can tell it was written generically and the owner response is “Thank you” like come on. How much is the owner paying for these fake 5 star reviews while ripping off customers by giving tiny amount of meat and serving none fresh, dry and about to be soon expired toppings. Stop trying to make money by being a cheap skate sir! I won’t come back until you hire more staff to help you and start being fair and honest.
Amazing food at great prices! The food is always made fresh and both the chicken and falafel shawarma are excellent. Great neighborhood spot!
I have tried shawarma in different places in Burlington but shawarma at Pita Republic has exceptional taste with fresh toppings and combined with savoury sauces is to die for. Ordered a pick up chicken and beef mixed shawarma and fries on the side at Pita Republic, it was packed with flavours and juiciness of the meat.I'll definitely try it again and highly recommend to shawarma enthusiasts to try it once here and you'll feel the difference.I commend the Pita Republic team for providing great food and service in our city Burlington.
