It's a good place and very clean. But the only problem is it's not worth $36.99. For $37 there should be crab legs and lobsters. This type of food isn't $37. No where near that. I think a perfect price range with selection they have should be around $22.95. If they ad lobster or crab then $37 is a good price.
We meet with a group of friends. The reservation allow us to be accommodated together. The waitress was very good at looking after the group.This was our first time back to the Mandarin since COVID arrived. The buffet was well stocked and the food was fresh and well prepared.Mandarin is a great place to have an enjoyable buffet.
The food here is moderately edible but what it lacks in quality it makes up for in quantity, variety, and service. I have been coming here since I was a kid at the old location further down on Fairview. It was a family favourite and all the dishes pretty much remain the same 25 years on. You won’t leave with any empty stomach. It certainly isn’t anywhere near authentic Chinese, but brings you back to the pan-Asian-Canadian comfort food that you love.
Good quality food. My last visit was sub par.Just because we are a young family of 7 does not mean service should differ.I have taken my family here multiple times with no issue. Usually tip 20 percent minimum. We made a reservation to accommodate 7 people. When we were seated the table was not sufficient for the group size. We asked for a different table and things went downhill quickly. Servers seemed bothered by the request and looked down on us which made the entire experience horrible.The way things are normally done on any other visit were not done. No hot cloths on arrival. Not sufficient amount of napkins. Servers avoided us to accommodate other guests.Overall still tipped 20 percent. Won't return due to the fact of how we were treated. 200$ a visit will be spent elsewhere.
I appreciated the fact that they supplied in every dining area a bottle of sanitizer as well as disposable gloves to wear when you use the utensils at the buffet. There was also a brown paper bag for the used gloves on your table for disposal. They removed all tablecloths from the tables which to me is a + + in my books.However, the price of the buffet has gone up in price considerably. I love the food options, but J know for a fact that I did not eat $35.00+ of food. I am a slight eater, but do appreciate the various choices of food offered.I can't say for certain that I will be eating out at the Mandarin any time soon. It will have to be a very special occasion going forward.

I've been going to the mandarin since I was young and the food has always been amazing. A truly fantastic experience. All the service is great. I highly recommend going to the Mandarin Burlington to create beautiful memories with your family. I worked at the mandarin and it is such a terrific work environment. Everything is kept secure and clean. Overall an amazing work and dine in experience.
My family has been going to the Mandarin for many years. We usually go when there is a large group because it’s easy to please everybody including the picky eaters and children. I spent 20 years in the restaurant business as a chef and a server and enjoy eating out a few times a week. The Mandarin has always done an exceptional job. The service is top-notch and the food is always fantastic. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk into the door until the moment you leave. From a business perspective, they have got it down pat. Always consistent and focussed on the customer. We are looking forward to our next visit on Mother’s Day in a few weeks.
My group of six really enjoyed our dining experience together. Food quality was excellent. There were no upset stomachs the next day. The variety of food satisfied each of our unique tastes completely. I appreciated the safety rules to wear a mask and gloves while getting food. I felt safe from COVID at all times. I especially liked that the gloves were easy and quick to put on and take off. Everyone left feeling happily satiated.
The food was great and awesome.Variety of choices However, quite disappointed with the staff as they literally told my friends not to take a lot of food to the table. It’s quite embarrassing when the surrounding people hear the conversation. It was a buffet and there shouldn’t be any concern to the staff of the choices and limitations of food we bring to the table. I hope proper training on customer service aspect will be given to the staff at Mandarin Burlington. Thanks!
