They had a new sushi chef about 2 months ago and the sushi rice and presentation were improved to excellent...but now they've gone back to the chubby chef who NEVER tastes the rice he makes and it's ALWAYS so full of vinegar that you can taste nothing else. The resto is 1 step above a dive to be honest and $29 for a weekend lunch is ROBBERY. They need to deep clean this place, fix the eyesores and trashy appearance and then maybe over charge the customers. Please tho, I beg of you Imi, GET RID OF THAT HORRID SUSHI CHEF AND HIS GROSS RICE!
Dont believe fake 5 stars reviews! This place doesnt worth a star.. Quality of the food, serving, waiter .. The worst I ve ever experienced in my life! We ordered many plates from the menu but didnt like even one of them. Please teach your waiters that tipping is not something we are obligated to do, it is a way of showing appreciation! Quality of The communication and the service define the amount of tip you can not come to the table and ask for tip! Anyway Do not recommend this place ..
This is the first and only time I will come to this sushi restaurant. We came for dinner and everything was bland, very chewy or had almost like a skin. The food seemed like it was made earlier in the day and reheated or served from the fridge. The rice was very vinegary, Wasabi was a teal colour and lacks any punch, the cream cheese had a film on it that you had to bite through. Again, everything seemed like it was prepared hours earlier and served as if it were fresh when it definitely was not. Regardless, flavours were also not good.We will not be back.
My husband and I order delivery all the time from here, and it's always amazing. We always get the tray of 7 rolls in uber to split, and it is a very good price.
We arrived at the restaurant at 5.30 on Sunday, we had a reservation. We were told that because it was a holiday we only had 90 minutes to eat. Normally that is more than enough time at an all you can eat sushi. We ordered on the iPad, got our soups, then 30 minutes later we had to ask where our food was! From there nothing came smoothly because the kitchen was too busy making take out orders. People were lined up out the door picking up food. The food we received was good but it was not worth the experience. I feel very sorry for the staff here and will never come back.
Tried their all-you-can-eat buffet yesterday and it is satisfactory. Price is valued fairly, food and the variety is great. Serving is fast too. I like their green tea ice cream and sesame seed ball among others but I did order a lot of salmon and tempura dishes. I minimize my rice consumption so I didn't tried their maki. Their dumplings (pork, beef and shrimp) are good. Sushi are also good too. Their butterfly cheese is deceptively tasty. These are just a few that I've tried, which are good and I like to mention. #food #hamilton #sushi #buffet
This place is fantastic. The quality of the food is high level, the service is friendly and fast. Best Sushi place in the area by far
It's an all you can eat Japanese restaurant, but opted for the lunch option. Sashimi lunch is 3 types of fish, miso soup, rice, salad. Tea is comp. Added a side of mixed tempura. Very fresh, good portions and presentation. Worth a visit. I'll be back.
Always a fav all you can eat sushi spot. Friendly staff, excellent menu selection and fresh fish. The only place where the sashimi slices are consistently thick even after your 5th order :) Also love that they do not add a ton of rice to fill you up quickly!
Been here many many times since 2017, usually for lunch/dinner. always has amazing service and amazing food. Have done takeout but only pickup from restaurant, so can’t tell you how the delivery option would be (although I think sushi should be enjoyed fresh). If you’re looking for a good AYCE restaraunt once indoor dining is open again, definitely try Imi.
