Fortinos is a wonderful store with lots of great selections. Their bake goods and vegetables are always fresh. Staff are friendly and courteous.
Love the quality of the food here. The hot bar is also my favourite when compared to all other grocery stores in Burlington. They don't accept AMEX though which is annoying.
Butter was supposed to be on sale from Wednesday to Monday. Went Thursday afternoon and of course they were out of salted. The cashier told me they only put out a certain amount each morning and when it's gone, it's gone. He (the cashier) was actually quite rude about it too. Ice cream on sale in a bin in the dairy aisle, without pricing. Told to go "find the product in the actual ice cream aisle and get the pricing there."
Got groceries here my entire life. Worked here for 2 years pushing carts as my first job. And as much as I might hold didcontentment towards the management as an employee. I can't recommend this place enough! Prices have always been fair when you target stuff on sale, which is often. Produce and butchers is always top quality and offers an economy option as well as a premium option. Just today I decided to treat me and the gf to some prime rib from the hot foods. The second portion the worker cut was pretty thin on one side and before I said anything she made sure to get another nice cut with a friendly attitude. Made my day ?
One of the nicest supermarkets in Burlington. The staff are really nice and helpful. Items are almost always in stock and the shelves are organised and clean. The pizza counter is my favourite spot in the store. The regular staff are absolutely delightful and make the tastiest pizza. Enjoy a slice of the New Yorker in the spotless canteen around the corner. A+
I shop at Fortinos when necessary. The products tend to be rather expensive, but the quality makes up for that (sometimes). The store is always clean and the big plus is the Fortinos has everything. Most other stores don't. Also, the flyer has some good sales. So you pay more and get one Stop shopping. With the cost of gas now, that's quite the bonus.
This is my favourite store in town. I get my groceries, flowers, prescriptions, ready made meals, house wares, wine, supplements, plants, clothes and much more here! It’s a one stop shop that is always clean, always has variety and quantity and always has friendly staff.
The pizzas aren’t as good as they used to be. The service leaves much to be desired. Order a pizza at 4:00 PM for 5:30 pick up. At 5:30 I approached the desk and asked for my pizza. After checking for a while the server told me it would be another 8 minutes. After waiting about 10 minutes they brought the pizza. My order was for 1/2 chicken and artichoke and half Mediterranean, no goat cheese and no balsamic. As the server was preparing the pizza he grabbed the balsamic and I Ano iced to him that there was no balsamic and no goat cheese. After he checked the order he said there was no notice of that. After much discussion he called over who might have been the supervisor. She said she could make a new one but would be 25 minutes ( if you have young kids waiting to eat, that would be an eternity), I told her that would not be an option. She offered to replace it with 1/2 of another and not charge me for the 1/2.I agreed, and went on my way. After getting the pizza home I was very disappointed on how the pizza was made. Very little vegetables and even the goat cheese, that was not to be there was all in one place. The pictures should say it all.
This is the best fortinos in Burlington ... No Starbucks you say ? No worries they have even better coffee and treats at the coffee counter .Fun fact and good to know ... This is the store with the most stock . If the other stores are sold out come here . .Now , let's get in with the less friendly .Staff , when answering the phone , say " Thank you for calling Fortinos, how may I help you ? .Apon the completion of the call don't forget to say something pleasant.Dont just hang up .. it's rude .The rest of the staff is great . Just the guy in the dairy section need some better phone etiquette .
They dont make you buy 2 packages of meatloaf mix.I wandered into this location early one morning hoping to find a free rapid test kit. I didnt get the test kit but I did notice that their packages of ground beef/veal/and pork are packaged in 900g to 1 kg size, perfect for a family size meatloaf. My closest location makes me buy 2×600g pkgs whereby I pay 30%more just to ensure a decent sized meatloaf....very sneaky ?.
