PREPARED FOOD NOT FULLY COOKED!!!This feedback is specifically for their prepared food section. I ordered a stir fry with beef and the beef was raw. The "cook" literally put the beef on the grill for 30 seconds.DO NOT ORDER PREPARED FOOD FROM FARM BOY
Nice store for sure. Meat counter interaction was not great. Stood there and was not greeted by the butcher staff just stared at. Ordered steak and then was charged literally double the correct price, when I noted that there was no apologies and it seemed as if i was imposing. Some training on customer relations would be in order. Quite the opposite of my regular grocer in town. Mistakes happen but come on let's be polite, I was. Cashier was great though. .
I’ve been harassed here by fellow customers for having an exemption from wearing a mask , however staff always treat me like a human, and are always kind, I see the negative reviews about the store manager , but he has been nothing but kind to me every time I’ve come in.Meat manager spoke to me after being harassed one day and let me know if I needed anything to come to him whether for meat orders , etc.Nadine the cashier , always gives me a warm welcome , and is always very kind , personable as well. Has never treated me any less, she deserves a pay raise , and paid for lunches haha.They treat every single customer with the same respect regardless of differences, farm boy Burlington is one great store. Thank you all for your hard work!
Here are my thoughts after working there for almost a year in the deli and cheese department:. The staff are very friendly and nice. There are some customers that are nice and others that are entitled, rich, rude people who want everything done a certain way. Customers think they are getting fresh food all the time, however I was told for some foods if it is past expiry date and doesn't smell or look bad we could still sell it. The meat that is in the deli counter is not as fresh as the one that comes pre-packaged because it is not being dried out in a refrigerator. The back coolers, receiving and stock rooms are actually messy and dirty and no one ever bothers to clean them. They have so many options for vegans, vegetarians, etc.. Prices are very high even on foods you can get at very basic low-end grocery stores like Walmart. It is not very busy there which is great for customers, but very boring for staff, I don't know how they stay open because when I worked there I was always told we were down on our sales. We have a rule that customers are not allowed in the store without a mask or face shield on, however everyday multiple customers I see, mostly white individuals are maskless; shopping with their family, friends, kids etc. We as employees are not able to do anything about it, which always frustrated me because we are forced to wear a mask, gloves, hairnet etc. even though we don't want to
Absolutely loved it. I was very impressed my first visit to your store and most certainly will not be my last.
These guy, are, AMAZING. They have a fantastic family lasagna but I couldn't seem to find it. The assistant manager said they had just come in but didn't have labels or a barcode yet due to a product change, but he still went through and opened a cash for me to do a custom item purchase so as to sell it to me. Extremely impressed with the customer service of the two gentlemen I dealt with and I will be back regularly now due to this experience alone. Could not be happier.
I love this place. It's always so clean, they have amazing products and selection, and the staff is always so nice. They also have a nice selection of gluten-free and dairy-free products at very reasonable prices.
This store was great! The staff were extremely friendly. All the shelves were full. Their pies are extremely delicious! The produce is great and the cash line up was quick and easy.
Farm Boy, compared to all other grocery stores, is offering mainly healthy products. You simply live longer shopping at Farm Boy
People who visit this store should know that they are at risk of being in close proximity with individuals without facial mask and so putting their own health at risk. It was explained to me that the management and / or employees do not have the right to question anyone without a mask and most definitely cannot ask them to leave. The mandate requesting mask cannot be enforced. A fact that makes this policy totally ridiculous . On my last visit to the store (sept.17, 2021) I have seen a number of young adults without any face covering and one middle aged woman with a mask full of large holes that was held bellow her nose. I think that the public should be aware of the situation so as to be able to make an informed choice as to where they want to shop.
