Very clean and organized grocery store. The diversity of products which they pride themselves on,appears to primarily be European countries despite saying " of the world". The products were fairly priced. The bakery and ready meals looked delicious but did not purchase. This is definitely a unique store offering a wide range of products that average supermarkets may not have.
German based Deli, food store, and cafe with multiple locations in Hamilton-Burlington areasOwners are actually from Germany and have been in Canada for a better part of 40 yearsThis place is so much German and it is incredibly goodThere's a little cafe eatery where you can get your choice of different German sausages such as Authentic Bratwurst and Weisswurst Complimented with really good SauerkrautThis is the closest thing to actually getting really good German food without going to a German restaurant in GermanyMany options for meats and breads and also pastriesCheeses, candies and real Deutsche bierThis place has just about everything you could need to Satisfy your European taste budsAnd if you're a true German - marzipan is available all year around
Always a pleasure to visit this store, don't manage to get here often as we live in Stratford but when we do we certainly fill up on all of our favourites. Love the deli, butcher & bakery counters & the meats from the deli freeze so well that we buy lunch meats for months to come! Also enjoy purchasing some of our favourite British & European foods & trying something new. Staff are always super friendly & helpful.
I love going to Denninger’s, especially to the cafe area. Love their sausage on a bun, tastes good and not a bad price. The food is always good and their is a variety of hot items to purchase.
Great selection of European food and a decent Hot Table. Also many local items available that are natural and non-GMO.
Love this place. My Mom would take my brother and I there for lunch sometimes (when we were tough). I learned to love German foods there. The store has things you can't get at the grocery chains. A large selection of frozen prepared foods and a to die for deli counter. Mmmm Schnitzel on a bun with a side of Spaetzle and Rotkohl. There are 5 stores in the GHTA. Just go here once. You'll be back.
So I ordered their Christmas prepared dinners. First one was the stuffed turkey breast. Well it had no stuffing. That was disappointing as there wasn't enough stuffing for everyone. Only the little side stuffing that was part of the order. I also ordered the ham. It was good. I paid to have everything pre-sliced because I wouldn't have a carving knife to slice at home. Regrettably none of the meat was sliced. I had to go knocking on my neighbours doors asking to borrow a carving knife. Not cool at dinner time Christmas day. Sorry to say but after all the hype from my clients about the quality at Denningers I feel like they definitely missed the bus on my order. $200 is alot of money to be left wanting in the end.
Always a wonderful experience shopping at Denninger's. Selection and service is outstanding.Their food counter is excellent and have yet to leave without a schnitzel or bratwurst on a bun.
I loved Denninger’s until they discriminated against me for not being able to wear a face covering under their unlawful restrictions. I was basically harassed out of the store. I made a point to check their covid restrictions online before I went, and it was not stated on their website. The website also didn’t state that they would harass you out of the store for having a disability… nor did it say that they would treat you inhumanly for not being able to wear a face shield, but it should. On the plus side, I found what I was looking for at a better price at Fortinos. They allowed me in the store without a face covering due to my disability and not one employee discriminated against me, made me feel uncomfortable or ashamed for being different. Shame on you Denninger’s!
Very nice and exciting store. Too many varieties of European food packed and served elegantly. I have tried Keto bun, and pumpernickel bread. They are both delicious. A question to the store; the nutrition label of the bread shows that the carb of pumpernickel bread is zero. How is that possible? Even keto bun has 3g of net carb. Can you pls check this? It is misleading. Thanks
