This place is absolutely one of my favourites in Burlington. Might not be as salty or greasy as other shawarma (which I think people have grown to expect and love) but I personally think that gives it a one-up compared to other places! the overall flavour of the food is delicious, and if you want to get the full experience, the sauces + salsas are so good!! I always get amazing service there, recently Lisa was a gem to chat with. definitely going back for future lunches because why would you not!!
Great food. Their chicken shawarma wrap and especially their chicken poutine is delicious with melted stringy cheese. Large portions.
Tried Chef's Door today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken shawarma combo (includes fries and a drink) and it tasted great. Definitely the best shawarma I've had in Burlington. The place was much bigger than I thought with plenty of indoor seating. Staff was superb to top it off!
These guys give huge servings and don't hold back on the sauce or anything you ask for. I eat a lot of shawarma but this is hands down the best shawarma I've had in my life. Definitely recommend, and the service was amazing as well. Vibe of the place is great too, very clean and nice.
Grabbed falafel wrap for lunch from here. Basic 2 ingredients and not much spice or salt . Didnt like the taste much as it was pretty stale for me.Otherwise place was clean and staff was nice . Hope they add some spice sauces or seasoning . Also, stuff was fresh in the wrap for sure.
A colleague and I stumbled upon this place by mistake. We are so glad that we did. The service was completely out of this world! The owners were so friendly, lively, excited to share their story about all of their homemade ingredients, and it was super clean. Food was delicious. We will definitely be back. Loved loved the samosas!
I don’t know how this place could get any bad reviews? I stumbled across this place by accident, as we were in the plaza. I saw the reviews and I thought why not give it a try; safe to say that I wasn’t disappointed at all! The pictures don’t do any justice. We met the owner and he was very nice! All of the food not only looks fresh, but tastes fresh. The chicken didn’t have an overbearing taste and was very fresh. The rice and potatoes were amazing and yes there were big chunks of carrots for the flavour which is amazing. We dined in, and the place is very clean as well as the washroom.I suggest if you live around the area or are in the area you give this place a try! We definitely loved it and will be back soon!
Hey guys, we went to this restaurant today and here is my honest review:Pros:- Convenient location in a big plaza. Close to important landmarks and highway.- Nice decor, a mix between modern and authentic. My personal opinion they should’ve made it more authentic than modern.- Good selection of Arabic music that we enjoyed in the background while eating, not loud or boring.- Everything was clean- Very friendly and respectful staff (the Egyptian guy and the blond lady).- Fries were another level. Just like the book says (crispy outside and soft inside). The touch of sumac (spice) was an excellent addition to the dish. It came very hot and the quantity was enough for two adults.Cons:The Falafel wrap wasn’t hot. We gave it back to him and he was understanding and apologetic. He put them on the sandwich warming machine. They were hot from outside but everything inside was still cold (looks like falafel was pre-made and not fresh), so that was a killing point for us.- The ketchup for the fries should come in bottle instead of the small packets.Summary:There are many reasons to enjoy this little restaurant and if they take these small notes positively and fix them it can be much more enjoyable.Sorry I forgot to take better pictures before we eat, as we were very hungry ?
Called 5 minutes after closing.. the owner picked up the phone. He told me he was closed but still asked what I’d like and was pleasant about it. Banged out 4 chicken shawarmas for us after hours. I really appreciate this type of service. I would have taken a pic.. but we inhaled them (sorry). Delicious!! This place knows great food and great service. Thank you!!
Friendly and welcoming service along with delicious shawarma and lentil soup. I really like coming here for the soup but the fact that the shawarma is good too is a bonus for me.Interiors are pretty nice too. Lots of parking spots available.
