Food and service (reception and table service) is great.

Our server Jessica was amazing. She was very attentive and prompt, we did not feel rushed and she made the special birthday dinner a wonderful evening. I hope we get Jessica next time. Thank you
Went for dinner with my husband. We’ve had a good week and I wanted to splurge on the whole lobster especially since it’s in season. Our service was perfect as always, my husband’s prime rib was done just to his liking and their horseradish gave him the right amount of “kick” that he loves. My lobster was just as naturally sweet and firm that I was craving. BUT, for some reason The Keg management has chosen Lobster Season to trial a new “butter”. It’s a thicker, saltier constituency than what I was looking forward to and marred what should have been the perfect meal. It wouldn’t heat properly in the candle holder and our server graciously went to change it out for one that was heated in the oven but nothing could change this product into something palatable. I understand wanting to trial new things but not something as classic as melted butter on a very expensive item as lobster, especially during lobster season!! It’s like trying to serve a horseradish “product” on a $50 prime rib. My server was very apologetic and said that numerous people were sending back that “butter” but head office was pushing the stores to serve it. Hopefully the executives will get the message soon and bring back proper melted clarified butter. All in all, cocktails were lovely, the rest of the food was delicious and what I come to expect from the Keg.
In this modern tecky society, I was disappointed that the Receptionist, and the waiter were not informed of the reason for my visit. They ask on the on-line booking if there is a special reason for your visit, but that info is not passed along to the location.....OR.....the Staff don't read it or care. I a not sure which, but I was disappointed.
Shanda, our server, was phenomenal. The meal was as standard and costly as keg meals typically go. However, Shanda was great at breaking down options and opportunities to make our meal a moment. Would go back for the service alone and hopefully more lobster.
Great service . Good food. Thanks for the complimentary dessert to help celebrate our anniversary. The only concern was using our gift cardâ¦purchased in the US and sent by email to us. Staff were not sure how to redeem it. After sometime, it was worked out. Head office should let their staff know how to process these US purchased-for-redemption in Canada gift cards.
