Usually I buy from McLaughlin and bovaird location but this location was closer to my home I ordered it on phone for a pickup, I ordered my favourite green curry with vegetables on steamed rice … some pieces of eggplant was totally raw few were cooked , curry was so slimy . Packing was weird no peanuts or hot sauce or chopsticks were included as I get from other locations…I just garbages it !!
Why does it always have no flavour. I ordered paid their with less rice and paid for extra veggies and tofu and the meal was literally all rice when that is specifically what I didn’t want. Pad Thai literally had no sauce or flavour. Will not order here again and wouldn’t suggest it either.
I don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to because this was the worst experience ever. I called ahead and asked if this location still made the general thai ghost meal and was told yes by the gentleman on the phone. When I got to the location there was another lady who ordered before me and another gentleman after me and all of our orders were made in 4 minutes maximum, how?? When I got my food it tasted nothing like I am accustomed to, the rice was barely fried and super oily, there was no basil, and the chicken was not the usual white meat. Instead of lightly coated chicken they gave me tempura coated chicken and passed it off as the general thai ghost chicken that I am used to having. This location has no respect for their customers and only wants your money. They could care less that they did not give what was advertised. I took a few bites of the meal and the rest went in the garbage.
It looks like the workers couldn’t care less about the customers. The store is asking people to email them but how about retraining your workers, they obviously don’t care about their jobs or the food. They purposely didn’t give us parts of our order: missing 2 drinks, dumplings, no sauce for the dumplings, and no cutlery. I had to go back and forth from my car like 3 times and it was absolutely freezing outside. The worker gave no apologies and very hesitant to give me the rest of my order. When I asked very clearly and loudly that my order was missing items, another customer who walked in exclaimed, “whaat? They’re not giving you what you ordered??” And he walked straight out and talked to other customers about to enter the restaurant to beware the very cheap and uncaring workers. He said it’s obvious there is some prejudice here and so they definitely wouldn’t treat a black man well and I agreed! Maybe the workers will treat an asian customer better because they know the cuisine and the culture? I have no idea but the assumption is there because the workers are definitely treating customers unfairly.These other people he talked to went to a neighboring restaurant and Thai Express lost customers immediately. I suggest you do something ASAP about your workers because a lot of people won’t be returning here, including me.
Five minutes after eating my chicken pad Thai I had to pull over. Started sweating buckets and my gut felt like it blew up. Than it all came back out.
I’m sorry but they probably need to train the current chef, or they need a new chef. I literally had to tell them how to make my food the next time, and it still wasn’t done right. The food I ordered was too oily and too saucy. I couldn’t eat both.
Ultimately, the food is good, fast and the staff friendly. However, I tend to order the Tom Yum soup with coconut milk. On the last 3/3 occasions I've paid for, but not recieved the coconut milk in the dish. Or, perhaps there was so little I couldn't see/taste it. I order the same dish at another location and always receive a generous amount of coconut milk in the soup base - which is awesome btw.I believe a better 'system' is required to ensure the order is correctly made in that busy and loud environment.
Wish I could give zero but thats not possible.I ordered veg pad thai, thai chicken fried rice, chicken pad thai, steamed dumplings but what I got was veg pad thai, shrimp fried rice and chicken pad thai and fried dumpling.The person taking the order appeared like he wasn't even paying any attention and was so rude to the customers.I guess dont expect a decent service and the right food from Thai express.
Terrible food and service. They have red curry in a noodle box resulted in all the red curry leaking from the box. Some items from the order were also missing. Will never ever go back here again and would highly recommend no one ever go there either
