First time here, I got the Jerk Chicken bowl and the variety of options that you can put in there was a wonderful surprise. The food is super flavorful and just spicy enough, the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender as well. I will definitely be back again!
Used to love love this place especially during pandemic! However, the serving size changed when we went today. I was so frustrated that I’m literally writing this review while eating it. I don’t know if its just the server himself but for 13.45$ bowl its just not that much worth it anymore as there is less in the bowl compared before where its almost overflowing. How i wish i can give it a 5 star as this is really one of my favourite places. It still taste good but not worth the money.
Great spot!! The servings are great!! Honestly one bowl could fee's at least two people!! Definitely gonna visit again soon!
The place is Halal. We were looking for a good place to eat and were pleasantly surprised. Step son made the mistake of ordering 6 lines of spice sauce from a place called Scotty Bons, but he learned. Their spice IS spicy.The curry goat, the jerk chicken and the ox tail are all authentic and well seasoned. The no hassle substitute for coleslaw rather than rice means we can watch our carb intake and that's important for the diabetics in our family, the staff was friendly. But hey... where is the ginger beer? Portions were good, price was reasonable. Options were vast. So overall the experience was excellent.
For Caribbean fusion food, this place is pretty good. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican food, there are better options for that.Portion sizes are excellent. The jerk chicken bowl was tasty though the jerk seasoning was mild compared to normal jerk seasoning.The jerk fries was alright. Maybe I was expecting more, something with kick, but it was just fries with a powder dusting of seasoning. It was like eating chips out of a bag.All in all, I’d go back to try other menu items.
Brought and recommended takeout by my colleague ... a upcoming infused taste...I got the oxtail bowl ..the oxtail was nice and soft .... with some nice hot sauce.. and channa they have .. the taste was very balanced..It's almost like a burrito bowl ..but infused oxtail bowl .. highly recommended.
A colleague had recommended this place some months back and I finally made it...and it didn't disappoint. Had the veggie curry (love the colorful presentation) and wings (love the dipping sauce) and I enjoyed them and hope to return to try other items.
I came here to try this from Mississauga based on a recommendation. Not only was the Jerk Chicken flavourful it was very moist and tender. Everything else was very fresh (Definitely check out the Creamy Lime sauce).My only regret that I didn’t plan better so I can come and dine in instead of eating out of the take out boxes at home.The restaurant was very nice and clean, pleasing colour themes and open environment. I will definitely come here again and with family and would recommend to anyone who likes Fresh Food with a Flavour and a kick, lots of sides and options and the prices are very reasonable!
Scotty Bons just lost a long standing customer due to the negligence, arrogance and unprofessionalism of their employee working on 31 Mar 2022 4pm. I will not be returning here and telling all my friends and family to avoid the place.What happened to you guys?The food used to amazing.The service used to be amazing.The overall experience was top notch.NOT ANYMOREOn an order of jerk shrimp platter she gave me 6 tiny shrimp pieces while serving so rudely and lack of care. Threw away my receipt without asking if I needed it or not. When I showed her the tiny serving of shrimp after realizing it, she started arguing with me. WOW. JUST WOW.
The food was made with no care and they basically just threw a bunch of stuff on the tray and handed it to me. Ruined the experience, avoid this location.The chicken was dry and tasted like it was cooked 4 hours ago and tasted like it. If you wanna go to Scotty Bons go downtown!
