It’s been a while since I have had Trini food and was really craving for roti. This place was marked for a long time and finally made it.The best part, the menu is clearly marked what is vegan, ordering is so easy. The girl on the counter still answered all the questions.Stuffed Roti with Daal and Channa and ordered extra hot. The large roti is LARGE and good size. The Channa very flavourful and hot sauce super good. Would definitely come again and try other dishes.
this place in nasty. I don't know how the rating is so high. The roti I got was all roti. minimal filling and it tasted raw which is Strange considering I ordered veg. the first time I got their food was devastating. thought I'd give Nother go, thought maybe I just caught a bad day. nope. nope. nope. threw the roti right in trash. will not be back. try lenas but vishnus is the best in the area.
We order boneless chicken (quality/quantity) roti and shrimp roti....very tasty and great value. Hard to find great Trini/Caribbean roti. People in ordering dishes and doubles. Shiws variety and quality. I drive from GTown to Brampton for great dirty diaper.
Ordered boneless Curry chicken (wrapped dahlpourie) and boneless jerk chicken (paratha seperate). It came with a small extra container of the potato curry they use in the rotis which was sooooo great to have - all of it was amazing. Will be back.
Very disappointed that the weekday special was changed from all day to only lunch time without any prior notice on the website nor the instagram page. It was a family tradition of mine to buy dinner from here at least once a week. Now we’ll have to find somewhere else within our budget. Absolutely loved this place: friendly staff, amazing rotis, and great value. We’ve been coming here from when it was a still a part of Drupati’s. I understand that inflation is making everything more expensive, but it was the lack of communication that was startling.
Sorry, was not impressed with the jerk chicken with rice and peas. Assumed from the front store banner it was a Jamaican restaurant. The chicken tasted like it was from a curry stew and had a foul smell to it when you reach the bone. The coleslaw was simply unacceptable, did not like the taste. My review is constructive, no malice here just giving some feedback. God bless.
Let me tell yall something right now. I am an EXPERT when it comes to Roti. This place hit the nail on the head. I ordered from skip and was a bit hesitant not sure if the roti would be warm etc. But WOW. It tasted like it was just made...the chicken to roti ratio was BOMB. The perfect amount.
Good food at Pepper on the side! Their veggie doubles were savoury, fresh, and full of flavours. Nice clean location with quick take out. Call ahead for pick up and save time!
Reply to management note: I ordered 12 doubles and specifically asked if they had a deal to which the man said "yes". but after calculation on getting home it was same cost as individual.Says remove tamarind or mango to boost up spice. to which i would respond with : I would imagine when i ask for max spice on the table of spiciness i would get at least a tingle. Could be I just got bad service (mistaken order) to which i might have to drop some stars. because i was the only one there I cant imagine my order getting messed up.-original rating-Service great. Doubles just ok. Price a bit high. No deals on high number of doubles orders (5 or more). Even maximum pepper is like no pepper. So ask for extra.
We ordered the duck, goat, pachounie(tripe), roti, soup, aloo pie, doubles and a bottle of hot sauce. Everything was fresh and delicious. Not greasy at all and hot sauce was soo tasty, no strong vinegar taste like most other places. The duck curry was my favourite. Best West Indian food in the GTA. Service was above and beyond. We will definitely be ordering again. Thank you!
