I was referred to Nova Grill by a co worker for my moms 60th birthday. There were about 40 people so I was looking for someplace with great tasting food that also worked for my budget. Nova Grill did not disappoint. From the first conversation I had with them, I knew this would be the place. They were so helpful and kind. My in laws had to pick up the order the day of the party and they even went out of their way to tell me how great the staff were. Numerous people at the party kept asking where the food was from and how delicious it was. People were going back for seconds, thirds and even fourths! Would 1000000000000% recommend!!! Amazing authentic Portuguese food and wonderful friendly service. I highly recommend it. You get the best of both worlds, on one side amazing food for breakfast lunch and dinner and the other side of the bakery, amazing desserts with a hot or cold beverages.
Ordered this yummy Portuguese food from Nova Grill and Bakery this past weekend for around 20 people. Norma was so lovely and helped us through the menu to find the best options/deal. The food was ready on time, so delicious and they even helped us take all the trays to our car.Definitely would recommend this place ?

I was looking for a place to cater 20 people and they came through. I called and spoke with Mike, took care of all my needs, and had excellent customer service. Mind you this was my first time every ordering from there. Food was delicious and I most definitely would order from there again. Upon pick up, service was just as good and they even helped my to my car. Thanks Nova Grill from one happy customer.
I usually go for the custard tarts which are always a hit. Today i decided to try their hot dishes. This is definitely a gem in Brampton. We ordered then cod meal and a red snapper on the side. Both age delicious. The cod comes with thin slicepd potatoes, boiled eggs and grilled veggies. Its also cone with rice. The snapper is fried perfectly. Great lunch for your Friday! There will definitely be a repeat visit just for this again. Sidenote the cod is salt fish not a while fillet either way its great
Food tasty but owners attitude very poor!She tells me today that "I'm the one who makes things difficult" so my dear you've just lost a client who has visited your takeout counter for years and especially during covid.I normally order ahead but today I didnt and they were very busy. No chicken no rice. So i bought fillets fish and potatoes. On my way out, I noticed i was charged for cod fish instead which was more expensive. I approached the owner and asked how much the fillets were and she tells me she gave me cod. I said no you gave me fillets. She gave me my money back but only after she gave me that rude comment.Two weeks ago i ordered a chicken combo #1 and when I got home i was missing a part of white meat with the chicken wing. We noticed right away and yes I complained saying we missed chicken. She remembered it was me and said today ya you missed the wing.My dear, if I'm paying for one chicken I expect to get a whole chicken. If you overcharge me like you did today, I'm gonna tell you. I also made the comment today "everytime I come here I have a problem" and she replied that wasn't fair. What's not fair is your comment as an owner to a client who hasnt been nothing but loyal to your business.For those returning customers check your orders thoroughly and especially your receipts. You may be surprised and itll be what shell say is an "honest mistake" EVERYTIME!

Fantastic Portuguese Custard Tarts! I enjoyed the slightly thinner pastry that still has the right combination of crunchy outside with chewy inside. So many delicious treats to try the next time I'm visiting Brampton downtown. The staff member was helpful to explain a couple of the other pastries we tried. Thank you Nova!
