My friends and I went last night hoping it was better than the last time, but it was way worse. My friend and I ordered vodka drinks and they tasted like they were watered down. There was a DJ that was a total amateur and the music was horrible. The DJ shut down at 11pm what bar stops their music at 11pm. The bathrooms smelt like urine also. Needless to say I will not be returning back to this bar as it’s gone way downhill since the new owners took over. Very sad and disappointing as this was a great bar before.
I've driven by this place many many times over the years and decided to take thr 2 girls for dinner tonight.The lone server in tonight was Chelsea and she was so good. Always smiling, checking in on her tables.And to the lone cook tonight as well, kudos to you too. Food was so good, remained hot, no issues or anything missing or to be turned back.Spoke to the owner as well to inform him, he too was very friendly and smiling and jumped in when he had to to clear or bring.I will definitely return. If you haven't been, go. They have live music on the weekends too.
We had a lovely dinner Friday night. I got the pan seared Tilapia, it was great! Waitresses were super nice. The band was awesome but they had to pack it in early. Unfortunately the place was pretty empty. Will try again on a Saturday night.
I visited this place with my friends as our manager booked it for staff party. I just wanna share my experience as food was delicious, chocolate lava cake was amazing and great customer service. I really like one thing is that they allow us for loud music. Everything was perfect.
Wanted to try the food here, but didn't even get there - since their ketchup bottle on the tables were not taken cared of and exploded on our group. From what we heard too, it already happened earlier that day. Some folks might be getting good food, but we got rotten ketchup. On top of that management or the owner didn't seem to care and it hit someone on the head and might seriously damage a brand new phone. It left many of our clothes stained and our kids upset. Didn't even offer us more than 20% off.
Booked a Birthday party, Service was so slow. The server was very nice (Chelsea) But very so, I had Call her over when we saw her, to place orders. After walking over to the bar to get drinks, we could see the problem. The bartender was this women who couldn't remember more then one drink at a time. To make matters worse, Half way through the night, we lost our server to the dance floor.There was live entertainment and they were beyond Great. What a band, best I've heard in a long time. They would even announce to the bar that our group needed drinks to bad nobody listened.
Went there this weekend and it was packed took over 45 min to get a drink as there was only one bartender. Finally got our drinks but when I asked for glasses for the pitcher of beer she said they didn’t have any. Was my husband supposed to drink straight from the pitcher??? Owner come out and said sorry we are short staffed and walked away. Really!!! There was no toilet paper in girls bathroom and when my friend told them, they gave her 2 big rolls and expected her to go put them in the bathroom. There was no music in between the band sets which was very disappointing as I remember before they use to play music before when the band was on break. This place has gone down since the new owner to over. We were very disappointed with our experience this time. Hopefully they will get their act together and it will get better!
I've been going to Jakes for years, also went during the Pandemic when they were allowed to be open and it's always a Great Time!! Yes Service was slow this time but let's remember it was their first time being really open since March of 2020 and serving almost a full house. The wait staff were AMAZING!!!! and I will go back again and that includes this weekend when the Doubts are playing.
Pre-Covid we would go to Jakes every few months and it was always a lot of fun. Returned recently with friends and family who have never been to Jakes and it was so awful that it was embarrassing. The band, The Orangemen, were AMAZING but the service was unbelievably bad. We waited 2 and half hours for a drink and according to others in the bar this was the situation all night. So sad to see a place get sold to someone/or a group that does not care about service or customers. But maybe that is what happens in Brampton
