Filmy tadka has absolutely amazing combination of food selection, taste and filmy dialogues all around you! We ordered kofta and paneer tikka masala and they were super yummy. The presentation of the dishes were impressive. Garlic naan was very fresh. In the starter we tried the shushi and it was delightful. Piyush was amazing and he made our experience amazing.
Above expectations!!We went to Filmy Tadka for my mom Birthday Dinner. I called few hours before going there and mentioned that it's a Birthday dinner. When we went there a table was reserved for us with birthday banner and Balloon, that was so sweet of them. Food was absolutely delicious and presentation is very attractive. Such a lovely place. Owner was there he wished happy birthday to my mom he was so kind and friendly. They provided an excellent customer service. People who served us they were so kind and friendly too. At the end they turned light of played music and brought birthday cake slice to make this birthday dinner even more special. This was totally beyond expectations. Highly Highly recommend this place. Everything about this place was Amazing. Highly recommend!!
Amazing place and awesome experience, we went as group of friends and customer service was beyond average. Food was delicious and very well presented. They say your eyes eat before you do and this place knows how to entertain your taste buds just right. Our servers name was Piyush and he made sure our experiences was best. Thank you will recommend this place for sure.
This place has a great ambience and very delicious food. My family and I went in for lunch. We ordered the Pani Puri wheel for starters and the veg triple schezwan, batura, laccha paratha and Veg Nargasi Kofta Gravy for mains, all delicious and well presented.The veg triple schezwan (a unique mix of rice, schezwan noodles and Gobi Manchurian) was very tasty. The Gobi in it was crisp, crunchy and just the way it should be. It's very rare to find such well made Gobi Manchurian. The laccha paratha was also crisp and perfectly made. My toddler son loved the batura. My only gripe with the Pani Puri wheel was that the Puris were individually put in plastic non reusable cups, creating a lot of plastic waste. Only wish they had put them in reusable cups. Other than that the presentation of the food was also amazing.The waitresses were friendly and hospitable. They gave great recommendations for our order and checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were happy with the food.Also unique to this restaurant is the Bollywood style ambience. The chairs and walls are decorated with Bollywood dialogues and songs making for a good guessing game of "which movie is that from" if you are a Bollywood buff.Overall a great experience!
Visited Filmy Tadka first time and it exceeded our expectations. We were 4 friends and all of us loved the food, the presentation, and great service by Piyush, that one of my friends had to say "East or West, Piyush is the Best!"To begin with, we were served complimentary papad with a dip, which was very good. For snacks, we ordered pani puri wheel, soya malai chaap and mac n cheese pakora. Pani puri/golgappa wheel is so unique. Mac n cheese is a must try; it was very delicious. Malai chaap was also very good. We enjoyed every bite. Jal jeera was delicious too.We also had veg hakka noodles, which again were quite flavorful.For mains, Dal tadka & Bhindi do pyaza were just perfect with Tandoori naan. Salt and spices were in the right proportions. 5 stars to the chef for his cooking and presentation skills of each dish we'd ordered.Desert time: Paan cheesecake was literally an icing on the cake...it was extraordinary. Gulab jamun was a melt-in-the-mouth delight. We enjoyed our meals and the ambience to the fullest.It is fun to read what is written on the chairs. We laughed out loud reading some of the Bollywood famous dialogues like "Mogambo khush hua", "mere Karan-Arjun ayenge", etc.Thanks a lot to Piyush for his great service. He didn't miss any chance to do his best and made us all smile.(There are ample parking spots, which is a great plus. The Google maps could be a bit misleading; I had a bit of a struggle locating the restaurant, so just look around very nicely to get to the right place.)The background songs and music will take you on a ride to the tinsel town. Very beautiful selection of songs for a perfect evening with friends/family.Would recommend all to visit Filmy Tadka to take your taste buds out on a party spree. There are high chances that you may lose yourself in the irresistible food but don't miss out on the fun part of reading what is written all around the restau and on the chairs!
Food is amazing. Very different flavors than the usual restaurants in Toronto. Reet and Piyush are very friendly and attentive.I must say they should work on their interiors, looks a bit old, but the food is a must try.(In photos: Veg masala garlic bread, Mac n cheese pakora, veg nargasi kofta gravy and laccha paratha)
Food presentation is excellent. Taste is very good . Small place so seating capacity is less. Service is fast and good.
Our visit was there was not planned, we planned for other restaurants in same plaza and we end up there .Food was really good presentation was awesome, and service was best. It is little warm family place.Try it not gonna Disappoint.
Went here with my friend the other day and the food was really good here the quantity was poor. Presentation 10/10. The chicken kebab was amazing!! Biryani was nothing special same with the shahi paneer. The garlic butter naan was delicious. Also, got the chilli Gobi - for this dish the quantity was a lot and delicious. Would definitely go here again. The server was very polite and attentive. Would highly recommend.
First time at this restaurant. Really impressed with the service and speed of service. We had ordered quite a bit - Gobi Manchurian, Chilli chicken, 3 mango shakes, 1 mango lassi, Garlic naans, Dal Makhani, Chicken Biriyani and Goat curry. Everything was served piping hot and the taste was up to expectations. The restaurant also gave off some timeless Bollywood vibes. Really enjoyed our lunch here. Definitely will come back!
