I have been going here for many Years, know the father who ran it and son running it now. Excellent food, service, did so many parties here.July 8th I told my co-workers this place is good and 7 of us went there. Nobody in the restaurant. Had awesome food, our bill came to around 200 dollars, after we paid we said lets relax for 5 more minutes. Around 8 people entered the restaurant.Instead of putting 2 table together and making them sit down, the girl told us to move to another table. extremely rude. I couldn't believe she said that, I told her that was very wrong. My coworkers never want to go back here again. Its sad, as I love this restaurant. Owners have to be careful who they hire and how the employees behave, when they are not around. People like this will bring any business down. I still have respect for the owner and his family.

Went here on a Sunday around 3 pm. There were only 2 other customers. We ordered a whole fried chicken and fried rice. We got the whole chicken after about 15 min. It was over cooked and dry as if it was fried twice or fried a long time ago. We then waited an additional 25 minutes to get the rice that goes with the chicken. We tried our best not to pick at the chicken expecting the rice to arrive shortly. We asked the waitress a few times what was happening and she said it would come soon. By the time we got the rice, the chicken was cold and hard. Very poor experience especially as they were not busy. The only reason I gave this a 3 is because the rice was very tasty. I’m not sure what to say except the service needs to be a lot better. We would have preferred getting hot chicken and rice at the same time. Not sure I would dine in here again.

We ordered food for pickup on Sunday at 7pm. When we got there the food wasn't ready and we had to wait about 30 minutes. The staff didn't seem to know what was happening. The food itself was pretty good they just needed to sort out the ordering process and not have people waiting for their food that long

We figured it was long weekend we would go and have a good time need some friends. The music was very good but I would have loved some more variety there's only reggae and Soca all night I would have loved to hear a little bit of r&B some hip hop maybe. I don't know what their weekly nights are scheduled to play so I could have just been there on a Soca Reggae night... I don't know. Anyway no actual complaint about the music but let me talk about my service from my waitress. We ordered my food around 11:00 so it was two orders of chicken wings and two fried rice why did it take over 1 hour to get all of the parts of my meal. I had to ask the waitress where is my food instead of her coming to tell me we only have one chef and we're sorry but he's a little behind blah blah whatever whatever I would have been okay with that but she avoided coming to our table until I manage to get her attention finally and call her over to her table to only find out they had one chef in the kitchen. Again, no real problem but if she had informed me I wouldn't have been so irritated by the fact. Second complaint.. when I went to the bar one of the servers (female) continued to walk by me not once not twice but three times and ignore me and then went and attended to some guy at the end of the bar who came there way after me so I wasn't impressed with that after standing at the bar for over 10 minutes.... I did not appreciate that. One of the bartenders (make) or manager I don't know what his position was ...asked me what was my concern and I explained to him how this bartender kept walking by me without asking if I needed any assistance so he apologized on her behalf and gave me my drinks for free which I am very appreciative of. Overall, I had a decent time. I enjoyed the drinks except way too much orange juice in the rum punch but it still tasted good. I will return some other time possibly because the chicken wings were very very good. My suggestion to Calypso Hut...get some more experienced wait staff working there with the exception of the gentleman that helped me.

Had a fabulous time! Food was excellent! Staff and owner are so friendly, really make you feel welcome! My husband and I used to go here when we were dating.. 28 yrs later, it’s still a vibe! We brought our grown kids and they loved it. Very nice .

I paid 21 bucks and waited almost an hour for a cup of bones with no meat on them and some stale roti. Real nice restaurant

I’m quite surprised this place is called a “family restaurant” as I’d definitely not be bringing my kids here. My husband I entered and was not greeted by anyone. Finally, a lady on the phone waved to us to come to her and take the menus. She then waved us away to go sit at some empty tables. We sat ourselves down as the waitress was busy chatting away with the customers at back without even acknowledging us. She took several minutes and finally came to us. We asked for one more menu and some water. She then proceeded to chat away with the customers in front of us who seemed to be friends with her. We sat there for at least 10 more minutes as she was socializing with her friends. The table we were seated at did not seem clean. It reeked of old rags and was sticky. We were unsatisfied with how we were treated so we got up and left. The waitress then asked oh you’re leaving? And she just chuckled as we left. I would never come here! I recommend not to bring your family here.

I order here for all my events- always on time and food is the BEST- No other west indian restaurant can compare !! The Pepper Sauce is the spiciest i have ever tried ! The owner is very professional and genuinely cares about the customers experience!! Great job guys and looking forward to ordering again! The food was a BIG hit on my last event!

Ordered take out via Uber eats.Rice, Noodles, chicken, bbq duck and a wonton soup.Rice was hard, though flavour was good. I added water to it and reheated it so it can soften up for the kids. Maybe a one off kinda thing.BBQ duck was Not to my tasting, and we ended up throwing it out bc no one ate it. Waste of money.Wonton soup was red had one wonton and a bunch of cut up chicken or pork and broccoli. I highly do not recommend. My kid was horrified when she saw her favorite soup like that. The only thing I loved was the noodles, bbq chicken and their hot sauce !! Pretty delicious!!I’ll probably be trying out different Caribbean places before I reorder here again.

The place has a nice vibe but the food was so BLAND (possibly the worst Chicken Fried Rice I've ever had). They also took FOREVER with the order and cheque. Dissapointing.
