Sushi Japanese Dim Sum

My bf and I came here late last night and the sushi and service was great! I especially loved the torched sushi. The lime daiquiri was also great but not very alcoholic. Both our server and Ryan the assistant manager was very friendly and helpful to talk to! Will definitely be coming back!Note: the portions are quite large and the sashimi is very thick cut so be careful not to over order!

My family came here the other night for the dim sum and we had an excellent experience. I loved the shrimp dumplings and the beef ribs the most. Our server Nathan provided us quick and friendly service and was extremely helpful. I will be returning.

The manager there Dixa and staff are The greatest ever. Super dedicated to making sure you have the best experience and truly goes out of her way. Now will be my forever only sushi stop in Brampton.

Great all-you-can-eat sashimi including a wide variety of other types of sushi. The washrooms were not clean and could have used a bit more attention to maintaining cleanliness. However, no complaints regarding the food and drinks!

The all you can eat service is always wonderful but they have been taking a lot of things off their lunch menu and adding to dinner menu :( The sushi is always tasty, fresh, and the presentation is perfect. The restaurant is clean and service is quick.

First time I’ve ever been there and was impressed by the variety of food / large menu and quick, efficient service ?

Sometimes you have an AYCE sushi craving. Other times it's dim sum. At August 8, you can dine on both! Since inception in Hamilton, it has caught on with locations creeping into the GTA. We visited the newish restaurant at Bramalea Mall. The mall has been revamped to give it a bit of class. The eye-catching August 8 wall is hard to miss.Took some time to be seated inside the restaurant, which has multiple dining areas with unique decors. Tablet ordering is efficient, though ours wasn't initially setup till we asked. The assortment of platters quickly arrived however. Sashimi, siu mai, dumplings & buns portions were small. Guess that's quite ideal for average quality AYCE.A few other highlights: Scallops were mildly sweet & plump in the sashimi and salad appetizer. Avoid the taco & calamari which were over-fried & dry. The torched sushi & rainbow roll with salmon, snapper, tuna and butterfish had terrific flavour from the sweet soy sauce & hint of smokiness. The aburi sushi selection was equally tasty. Better than plain rice bowls that were ordered by a few other tables! For birthdays, they gave a special slice of mille cake which we enjoyed with several layers of crepe and ice cream. My wife quite liked the meal so we came back as soon as we were able to dine-in post-pandemic lockdown when one of us craved for sushi and the other for dim sum.

I came here with a friend for a late dinner and I was so impressed with the service! I’ve never been to August 8 before but I’ll definitely be back again. Our servers were Kaylyn and Ryan and they were very friendly and accommodating to us. The service was really quick and our empty plates were cleared from our table quickly as well. I’ll be back soon!

We ordered take out sushi bowls. I had never tried or heard of a sushi bowl before but my husband insisted it was great. It was too heavy for me, it also had corn in it which I found strange in terms of the flavour. Next time we go, I'll stick to regular sushi rolls because the menu looked delicious. The food was fresh and smelled great but I personally wasn't a fan of the bowl itself. My husband likes it though, so if you have a bigger appetite then it may be for you.

good service nice atmosphere cozy
