Unfortunately this will not be the best review. First time ever eating here and most likely last. It was fairly busy so I like to be understanding but honestly was very disappointed. To start our server was not very friendly, okay that’s fine. When he took our orders I was told they didn’t have any Caesar salads (no big deal) but then I proceeded to see Caesar salads being taken to tables literally all night after. We waited a long time for drinks, and felt like we were bothering our server every time we asked. Food was mediocre, dry steak bites and over cooked potato skins. Then at the very end we had a different server come to our table and ask if we needed anything else, whilst trying to decide on a drink we were told “I don’t have time for this” and “ you need to hurry up” we then ordered our drinks, never got them. Then we when we asked about them 15 mins later we were told the bar was now closed. Very disappointed in the attitude of the staff here. Everyone seemed to be miserable.
First off, let's get this out of the way. I'm giving you 1 star, and this 1 star is only because of the waitress that served us (which was 5 of 5 service).Now onto the rest. My wife took me here as something different for our 12yr anniversary. Pre-Pandemic this place was great. Myself and my very pregnant wife asked for a booth, we were refused a booth eventhough there were booths open, and were seated in the bar area with the high bar seats. Not ideal for a pregnant woman. We ordered our appetizer and meal. 5 mins after receiving our appetizer, they brought out our Entrees, with more than half the appetizer still remaining. The food we received was ice cold, and they brought it back to redo, and the 2nd attempt was no different, still ice cold.They also advertise "Ice Cold Beer." Which is far from what I received. I've had colder beer right off the shelf at the beer store.All and all, I'm very disappointed in my last experience at this restaurant, as it was great before the pandemic started. I will not be returning as this last experience was completely terrible. I feel so bad for your front of house that has to deal with lazy and incompetent back of house. You should be ashamed of yourselves.**UPDATE** 3/27/22After contacting their "customer service" as requested, they offered to make right and send me a gift certificate as an apology. This was to be sent to me electronically within 48 hours. It has now been over 2 weeks, and they haven't sent anything. Can't even follow through with an apology.... Sad....
I ordered food today from skip the dishes but asked to make fries a poutine skip called and said can't unless add extra 12.00 I said no that's okay can leave it as fries and gravy chucks then called....and asked if wanted it a poutine I said no cause cost 12.00 extra and so was just gonna leave it , he said OK 10 min. Later the manager from chucks called again and said I wanted to let you know I made it a poutine free of charge was super nice. I was never expecting that. Amazing people and have ate there for years and will continue on eating there. The food was delicious ,Thank you so very much
Celebrated my brother in laws birthday there. I had the ribs and wing combo. The ribs were a little fatty. I told our waitress and she told the manager/owner. He came to our table and was very apologizing. He took my meal off our bill. He stated that he is there to make us happy and that was the least he could do. Everyone else had a great meal.The only other thing that bothered me there was you were charged for condiments. I asked for a side of Mayo and was told there was a 75 cent charge. Weird.All in all, we had a good meal and it was so nice to go out to eat and have a beer.
We visited tonight with our family. We had a young server who said she was new. Honestly, she was the best service we've probably ever had at this location, so kuddos to her ! She was attentive, came back to check on us multiple times and always make sure we were taken care. Food was exceptionally good tonight too. Steaks are always perfect! Happy that they've decided to end the ridiculous QR codes as well. It was a great visit!
Excellent food & value...I highly recommend it....never had a bad meal.Update food is still great ? ????
My daughter wanted go for dinner tonight so thought give them a try again. We waited an hour for our food her steak wasn't cooked properly had send back. By that time her sugar started dropping with her being type 1 diabetic. This is extremely unacceptable will definitely never go back.
Steak was perfect, prices on everything are outstanding value for quality. Service was also A++
Food and staff are great. Usually order the cheeseburger for takeout and has always been good and tasty. Prices are great for the freshness of the food.Only item holding back from 5 stars is number of people indoor dining with little regard for covid protocols. Makes me nervous when going to pick up my meal.
First time at this wonderful establishment Gina is a fantastic waitress and treated me very well and kindly. I recommend everyone who is new to this town to checkout this place. Food is on par, drinks and special are at a good price overall.AJ Haire
