We went to Wickie’s Pub on Saturday July 30th. We were greeted, our order for drinks and food taken in a timely manner; this is where it went down hill. The waitress came to us an hour after order was take. To inform us that 2 items on menu were not available and we had to reorder; we did. While other patrons sat, ordered and were served their food, we waited. Almost 2 hours and we decided that paying for drinks and cancelling our food, which at the time of paying was still not ready! NO MORE
This was our first time here and to say we were impressed.I had the yorkshire pudding filled with mash potatoes and beef, lots of beef.The real veggies were a nice treat.Now I couldn't eat it all.My husband had the burger with cheese and bacon. It was a good sized burger. The fries were good but came in second to the burger. Lots of food well worth the money.I didn't get our waitress's name, however she was very pleasant and professional.Will be back next time I'm passing through.
There’s a reason these guys have been around for as long as they have been. Food is excellent. Great liquor selection, friendly employees. It’s that bar you always feel good going to, even with your family. Been coming here over 20 years now...

I attended this restaurant a couple days ago with 3 other friends. There were not many other customers at the time. It was my friends birthday and she was visiting us from Alberta. I chose this location because I used to frequently attend it with friends last year and it used to be amazing. Now their menu is cut in half....next to no selection. It took OVER an hour for our appetizers to arrive......and 4 of the alcohol beverages were complete garbages. I was safe with mine because I ordered a bottle of beer which they couldn't mess up if they tried. After being there for about 1.5 hours we gave up and cancelled our dinner orders. We paid for our garbage drinks and our appetizers, gave our server a large tip (who was an absolute sweetheart who apologized MULTIPLE times during our stay)...and I requested a manager call me the next day because they don't have managers at the restaurant on Friday nights. I did not receive a call. I highly recomend avoiding this restaurant. It's a shame....because they used to be great!!
Food is always great and the prices are competitive with other pubs.The waitresses and owner are great and make you feel welcome.It's definitely improved since I had my first drink here on my 19th birthday!

We arrive at 11:45 on a Friday for lunch so didn't think it was a problem that we were the only patrons in the restaurant. By the time we left at 12:45 we were still the only patrons in the restaurant - that explains a great deal. I had the the braised lamb shanks which were described in the menu as "fall off the bone" (as all braised lamb shanks should be). They were served with a steak knife , which was appropriate since you needed a steak knife to cut the meat. The mashed potatoes were dry and the vegetable were overcooked to the point of mushiness and stone cold. My partner's meal was the liver, which was marginally better (but same as mine for potatoes and vegetables. ) Normally, when we don't finish a meal we take the the left overs home - but not at this place. I eat out fairly often and I cannot remember a worse meal I have been served in a restaurant.
My step was hired there, work a few shifts, last night he was fired by the owner, who stated that he did not cash out tips for back of house staff, he did cash out as 2 other staff members helped him. The owner did mot review cameras, nor ask the Co workers that help him. Fired on an assumption. He is one of the most honest young men you'll find. Shame on the owner for being a terrible person and employer. SHAME ON HIM. He lost a good loyal worker.
