One of the best steakhouse i eat in ontario the food was amazing the présentation excellente the service perfect and the place is beautiful
Food was amazing! The patio was very romantic and the staff was very attentive. We will definitely be returning! The green salad and calamari were gone too fast to get pictures of but was amazing as well. Pricey but worth it for the atmosphere; can’t wait to try more things on the menu.
Omg the steak is perfection! Yum! Calamari not so much. Some chewy elastic pieces and just chewy in general. Service and ambiance, amazing. I think Janette took our reservation and served us. The owner/manger showed us their huge reception room. Loved this place. A little over priced, but you really get a lot for you money I will definitely go back. Been in Barrie for 22 yeArs and first time at this place.
Food was amazing as always but service was not great. They were packed inside and outside. We were on the patio and our server had to keep running in to serve other tables. Drinks were forgotten until we asked for more, they ran out of food sides and instead of letting you choose an alternative they chose for you and for our party of 10 they brought the bill out on 1 bill. We had to wait an additional 40 minutes for them to sort it out and get everyone to pay. We were there over 2 hours for just 1 course and then the bill. No apology and no discount. For a restaurant that is known for high quality food and service...they nees to work on the service part or don't book so many people in until you have more staff. We won't be going back anytime soon.Update: I greatly appreciate that the owner reached out and responded. I recognize the conflict businesses are facing with lack of staffing and I took all that onto consideration when we did our best to not show our distaste for the slow service, how the bill was handle or that no apology or discount was in place to show this. Still amazing food and I'm glad the owner is watching his online feedback and to hopefully be aware of this for future guests there. While you can't control who shows up for work, you can make sure your guests feel valued with something as simple as not charging for the appetizers or a discount. I don't want my money back and I hope, IF, we come back that service and attention to that service will have changed.
After living in Barrie for 16 years, how have I never been to this restaurant? Especially being a professional chef myself for 30 years, I was so surprised....best onion rings in the city, Greek salad was beautiful and delicious, and a banana's foster flambe for my wife as a complete surprise to us both and a greeting by the chef as well as a tour of the new patio and terrace! The dinner was plentiful, good quality, a nice combination of flavors and touches in the dishes we tried, and a reasonable cost. A big thumbs up, went a recommendation from a couple we are friends with, will be back for sure on the patio, the service was also top notch, what a pleasurable evening!~!! Thank you....
Hands down, one of the best steaks I have ever had, and iv been to my fair share. I got the rib eye with the bone in, with garlic mash potatoes and a caramilk cookie crumble for dessert. Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was on point. I highly recommend this steakhouse.
Amazing service! Our waiter was a lil almost too much but who can complain about that!! My steak was the biggest and most properly cooked I’ve ever had in the Barrie area! Me and mother had a fried slice of cheese as a starter…. Was absolutely amazing. I’ll definitely be taking the next hot chick I meet to here !! Love this place! I’m a customer for life !
Beautiful place, you get the whole experience here. The atmosphere and the ambitious, is fancy forsure. It is a very expensive place, I wasn't blown away by the food, for the price you pay. We were there for my husband's bday, he enjoyed himself and had a great time, which is all that matters.
Best date night we've had in awhile!This is a classic steakhouse and a gem in Barrie! The restaurant was busy but we were still imppressed with the overall service as our waiter was very attentive.I don't typically like cesar salads but this one was great - the dressing was just delightful. The calamari was decent. The star of the night was the rib eye steak. It was exceptional!The atmosphere was great. We enjoyed seeing the table side preparation of various meals for other guests. It's pricey but definitely will be going back to try other items on the menu.
Hands down the best steakhouse I've been to. Town & Country is outstanding in quality of food and service and reminds me of an Era gone by. Fresh garlic bread and a very generous pickle tray are included in every meal. The shrimp truly are enormous-like they were many years ago. I could only eat two of the four served. The calamari was lightly battered and cooked perfectly. We both had the exceptional filet mignon - tender, juicy and full of flavour. The toppings for the baked potato included generous amounts of bacon, butter, sour cream and green onions; served in a dish and left at your table for you to put your own on. The Chef came out and spoke to the patrons! We finished with Bananas Foster, and our server flambéd the dish at our table. It was a treat for the tastebuds. We didn't have the Caesar Salad but saw them make it tableside when ordering for 2 or more people.The servers work well together, a real team, and any of them will help at any table if needed. They also have a large outdoor porch throughout the year. There's even a skating rink!This restaurant is a gem.
