Great home cooked type of food. I had the Ruben sandwich for breakfast and the home fries. The sandwich and fries were very tasty, top notch. However I didn't give 5 stars as the coffee is something you'd expect at a quick little cheap diner, not at a more sophisticated cafe. Slight hints of watery cardboard unfortunately.
My boyfriend and I came here on our anniversary this year and we had a great experience. Our server was Kayla and she was fantastic! We had so many questions about the food, drinks, and desserts and she was really helpful in answering all our questions. She even made sure that my dietary restrictions were met which is something I have a hard time with at restaurants. We would LOVE to come back and hopefully have Kayla as our server again
Went in for brunch with friends. The service was quick and efficient. Food was amazing.
Reccomend the fish and chips. Good value. Homemade coleslaw.
I went with my husband for breakfast second time visiting this place; first time food was not bad and service amazing but we are so disappointed this time, service was pretty bad and food disgusting (coffe was burnt, eggs and potatoes over cooked, soggy sausage ) and don’t mention the butter, I ordered french toast and I love butter with it I asked for some butter and after the long face of the server she brought me a paper cup with margarine full of bread crumbs and bad tasted. We left most of the food on the plate and asked for the bill server didn’t bother asking if something was wrong. Definitely no going back to this place.
The quality has gone down from years past, I ordered the southern chicken with fries and the fish and chips. The gravy arrived with a skin on it as if it had been sitting out too long. my portion of fries didn't even fill the bowl it was in compared to the very full plate of fries for the fish and chips. Both meals had brown old coleslaw and they forgot to serve the fish with tartar sauce. It took 35 minutes and we were only 1 of four occupied tables 2 of which already had food when we walked in. The wait is understandable on a busy night but it was dead and there were staff standing around while one server did all the work on the floor. The restaurant was also freezing and we had to ask them to turn up the heat. All the customers were wearing their jackets at their tables. This was at the Barrie location on cundles.
Decided to give this place another chance to see if the awful customer service had improved and it has not. Got a gift card for someone as a gift and they were told that the staff couldn't redeem it and were left on the hook for the cost of the meal with no offer to do anything about it. Older staff are rude to customers and act entitled. that being said I haven't had an issue with any of the younger servers as they generally try to be understanding and aren't given much choice of what happens by the supervisors. Regardless I will not be back and I certainly will not be purchasing any more gift cards.

The worst mojito ever! Meals are so small for the price you pay and also we didn’t like the taste of chicken so don’t waste your money … yes the place and decorations are nice and it seems you pay for it and not for actual food so next time I’ll take my family to Cora’s place on Mapleview
-Brought family for dessert on Feb 19, 2022 at approx. 3pm for dessert. Basic dessert order took approx 30-40 minutes to process for 4 people.- Girlfriend's order (Nutella Crepe) had what appeared to be a hair or some type of fiber in it. Waiter apologized and gave discount (which is the only reason this review isn't 0 stars.- Daughter ordered a double scoop sundae. Waiter brought what clearly was a cookie sundae. I told her we didn't order this, we ordered the double scoop sundae. She said 'this is the double scoop sundae, it's served with a cookie'. I verified again later, that this is in fact the double scoop sundae, she said yes. Ended up charging us for a cookie sundae with a separate charge of vanilla a la mode. A complete mess up - even after verifying with her 3 times.- Asked for bill - waited 10-15 more minutes... when checking on what was taking so long, saw her texting on her phone. Asked for bill again.A horrible experience, service wise. Will never be going back again. Server name on Cheque was Michelle. She should not be in the service industry.
