I did an online order quite a few months ago for the Bayfield Barrie location I was surprised to see it totally changed Management and staff which would have been fine . I decided to try the fish and I paid and ordered for 2 people. They only charged me for one dinner and when I went in I had to reorder another so they cooked another and it must have been at least 50 minutes I went back in and they still didn’t have it ready nor did they come outside to tell me . So when it was ready another 40 minutes later it was dried up tough like eating string and the staff didn’t seem to speak English either. Now I used to be a regular but if the staff is still like that I won’t return. After all that time I paid full price with no apology! Sorry I won’t be back because no one cared at all A complete turnaround staff from the bubbly hard working Canadian staff who spoke English communication was very important to them and eager to please!
Our great experience at Swiss Chalet and the night we met a very special server ... May!Late last Sunday night (6-26-22) we went to Swiss Chalet (Bayfield St. location) for supper. When we entered we were greeted by a friendly smile and brief conversation as we were being shown to our seat. A short time later our server arrived at the table with some menus and had asked us what we would like to drink. We placed our orders and when the food came it was just as we hoped it would be! It was delicious and very satisfying. There was another element to all of this that made our experience memorable. As good as the food was it was our server that made the night and the reason for this review. Her name is May. She was so kind, so sweet and made our experience amazing just to have been in her company. If the food had been not so good meeting May would have made it all worth it anyway...!!We enjoyed our food and after we ate we decided to share how we felt with the shift supervisor (which I wish we would have asked what her name was because she was just so amazing too!) We expressed to the supervisor how the food was good and how amazing our server May is and also good for the management at Swiss Chalet to bring somebody like May aboard. Good management will recognize great prospects and what a home run Swiss Chalet scored in hiring May!!!We were very pleased to meet everybody that night and we promised May that we will be back to see her again soon...and we will!May keep you're beautiful light shining bright and share it with the World. Went there for lunch...very suprise ! The restaurant is very welcome and clean....food are delicious ? the staff is friendly ❤love it..will come again..???
Came in for dinner after 8 pm on a Saturday and were surprised to find the restaurant nice and quiet. We had the pleasure of being served by Linda. She is such a plesant and kind person, as well is a skilled and attentive hostess. She perfectly balanced giving us time to look at menus and coming to take our orders so our food could get started. We will definitely return. The food is great and Linda's service is excellent.
Dined in for long awaited dinner date with hubby. Server was very nice. Ordered chicken dinner. Chicken was more like dry pulled pork. Chicken gladly replaced but no change and fries very mixed sizes and some burnt. Buns like concrete unable to cut. Manager agreed and we left without paying except for good tip for server as it was out of her control. Come on Swiss Chalet you can do much better.
It’s average now. Used to love Swiss chalet but the white meat is always dry. I keep going to different locations hoping to find one that still has a juicy breast with fries and I love the sauce. Costco and Walmart’s rotisserie chicken is better, Swiss Chalet really needs to fix the problem or they will be gone soon. RIP
My dad loves Swiss Chalet’s chicken and we always come here for his birthday. Food is delicious, cheap and comes quick. Service is wonderful. Our waitress Tracey even recommended the fish and chips (not what I would’ve thought to order from Swiss Chalet) but they were delicious! Always happy to come back here, will be back again.
Stopped in for a family dinner before my son’s hockey game. Truly impressed by the hospitality and service our waitress Tracey showed us. We were well taken care of and she was great with three very chatty kids. Made sure service was quick and speedy, we were in and out with lots of time to get to the game. Food was great, love the fresh look of the dining room. No complaints from us!
My husband & love going to Swiss Chalet on Saturday eveningsWhen we arrive we always ask to be seated in the area Kelly is working.I’m sure all the waitresses are amazing, but over time Kelly has stood out as our favourite.We are barely seated before she has our drinks on the table and dinner arrives in a timely manner.This is a great place to have a dinner. The best part is !!! You don’t have to do the dishes.I give Kelly five stars !!!!!
We just finished our lunch at this location.What a wonderful experience it was. Right from the moment we where greeted to the good day.Our waitress Trudie was absolutely amazing. What a breath of fresh air to be served by someone that cares about her job.The food presentation and taste was beautiful. Fresh all the way.
