Took our grandson here for dinner and everyone enjoyed their meal. He tried their poutine - huge and good - we went with the basic quarter chicken (white) with a side salad. Salad was huge and excellent! Pretty consistent food when we go to Swiss Chalet.
Clean, friendly restaurant.I want to say I had the chicken wrap and I was so pleased they went beyond for my allergies and had a manager bring it to me. So thankful for this kind of service
Was not a great experience. We arrived at 9pm for a late dinner, they close at 10. When we walked in they looked upset that they had to serve us, even said " I was cleaning but guess we can sit you". I understand we came when it wasn't busy and you may have started cleaning up. Your hours are for another hour though to serve customers. We know the hours and just wanted a decent meal and we ate pretty fast so we wouldn't keep them late. Food was ok, a bit burnt and not the greatest tasting.
Every single time (whether I am ordering from Drive Thru or taking out), it always has employees standing around with blatant disregard for customers. Drive Thru wait times are always very lengthy; perhaps refining the Drive Thru menu would expedite the process or having exclusive drive thru assembly stations could solve the issue. Whoever does the hiring process for this location needs to refine QC standards applicable to both Swiss chalet and Harveys employees.
Good food. I had to wait about 10 minutes for my order to be taken at the takeout. But overall good.
Great little spot for lunch and dinners. Clean and calm atmosphere. Fantastic staff!
Went to get take-out tonight at around 6:45 (a Thurs). Was told at the takeout menu that any swiss chalet order (they do Harvey's as well) would take at least 20 min. I asked why, and the girl said that they make it to order. I said so if come in the restaurant I would have to wait at least 20 min to get food, and she said it might be faster inside.Who waits 20 min for drive through? What happened to the racks of rotisserie that they are known for?This isn't the first time we've been disappointed at this location.
Reliable food, but always miss the mark on their poutine - ice-cold cheese curds makes for a garbage poutine. Just melt the cheese... Even if only a little bit.Otherwise, service was good, the restaurant was clean, and the family had a nice time.
Ceasar salad was delicious. Real bacon bits and chips of real parmesan. Chicken was good, and it came with a huge plate of fries.
We ordered take out for my grandson's Birthday. Food was hot and tasty. The only reason for a four star is the price. It used to be a reasonable place to take a family to but not now. Only because it was for a special occasion and he loves Swiss Chalet did we do this for him. Otherwise could never do this on a regular basis.
