I visited this gem of a restaurant through a friend’s referral. I tried the chicken biryanis; both mild and hot versions. The food was extremely flavourful and plentiful. I plan to go back very soon and sample some of the other authentic Indian dishes on their menu.
Authentic food..great in taste..Had a warm experience.. Worth visiting. They treat u with love and respect. The only place for Non veg Biryani and Dosa. Lip smacking !!
Called in to place an order for one item for takeout and the person on the phone said it’d take 15 mins. I told him that someone will be there in about half an hour to pick it up for me. Half an hour later when my mom arrived to pick up the order for me, she was told to wait another 15 mins… so I guess it wasn’t made the whole time?I only got one masala dosa. The dosa wasn’t crispy and the potato filling didn’t have much flavour. I did enjoy the sambar though… but coconut chutney like someone else in the reviews said, is salty and watery. Overall this place is okay, good for those who are really craving dosa and can’t make it down to Toronto for better.
I had placed an order for masala dosa and chicken biryani for the first time n it was so delicious n neatly packed .felt like authentic South Indian food .Kudos to the team n keep up the good work.
That was a delicious meal. Biryani is very fantastic food .I like it nd every time eat this one .
Worst experience ever… we took a take away… they gave us stale food… we took idli and dosa and spent almost $40… all waste and everything was sour… I served my 4 yr old son 1st and then after 10 mins when I started eating I realised the food was so stale. I am so worried… this is disgusting service and irresponsible attitude.

I have ordered Chicken Biriyani first time from south Indian express and it's extremely delicious, and spicy . After long time I get wonderful Biriyani. Thank you for yummy Biriyani, definitely try every time from you guys. I generally don't write reviews but I tried few Indian restaurant in Barrie and I stopped ordering food but I ordered from here after reading reviews.
I made an online order before they opened and they called me right away to let me know that they’re not open yet (on the chance I didn’t see their hours). I really appreciated this! Their dosas are great, sambar isn’t overpowering and mint coconut chutney was perfect. Definitely returning!
