Great place to eat, get away from the typical local restaurants scene here in barrie. Just great food.
Food was fabulous and the service was exceptional. Had the chicken mushroom penne…yummy!!! A real hidden gem in Barrie. Will definitely return again and again
My wife and I had dinner at Scotty's last Thursday night. This is the first time that we had visited Scotty's since the Pandemic. We had been going to Scotty's for many years. It was a favourite of ours for the excellent food and atmosphere. I am sorry to say that we were both very disappointed. The French onion soup was watery, lacked taste and the cheese was undercooked. The chicken parmesan lacked flavour and again the cheese was not heated. The linguine and sauce was good. The fish and chips meal was also disappointing. The fish was undercooked and tasteless. The fries were undercooked and a few were not cooked at all. The gravy was brown water and again tasteless. The coleslaw was good. I believe that Scotty's are using cheaper products in their meals to save dollars while charging and increased price. We will not be back.
Been coming here for over ten years but getting tired of having sliced carrots with every meat menu option. Food is excellent and so is the service but would be nice to see some variety on the vegetable side. Is there really nothing other than sliced carrots?

Went with friends tonight for dinner. I had been told the food was excellent! Very disappointed with my meal. I had the beet salad with chicken. The chicken was extremely overcooked tough, tasteless and dry! I ate half as I was hungry but I won't be back!
We hosted a 22 - person surprise birthday dinner on Saturday. It was amazing, the food was delicious, came out quickly and all at the same time. The owners were so wonderful and helpful, so much so, that they encouraged us to drop off a cake prior to opening hours, and allowed us to add two extra seats due to RSVP changes. I do not have enough amazing things to say about their restaurant and the staff. They close relatively early and again, encourages us to stay as late as we wanted. It was so wonderful and could not have gone better thanks to the owners and the staff.
