My wife and I each got a hot plate. The food was amazing! I loved the butter chicken especially. The staff were super friendly and we got two hot plates and drinks for about $25. We will definitely be repeat customers.
a lot of oil floating on the top of all of their curries. services is mediocre. food is okay but not great.
DONT GET TRICKED !IN TO PAYING MORE FOR CHICKEN BIRIYANI!we have bought Biriyani from them few times . Always for their deal $6.99Today we were asked for a choice small or Large , I was confused so ordered Large for $8.99We got the same size pack for two dollars more !I realized this is a trick they pull on customers .Good was not authentic Biriyani,more curried rice . Tasteless. Chicken was very small pieces .Not recommending this place .
Great meal at a very good price! Their Curry/Thali combo is a perfect meal, with three different curries, salad, and enough roti to sop up the sauce. And the people are super friendly! We’ll be back the next time we’re in Barrie
I don’t know how they got a really good review online but i had ordered chicken biryani and samosa chat and they taste reallt bad just waste money. Biryani is nothing more then a boiled rice and samosa is tasye like 20 days oldDon’t waste your time and money
Second time ordering taj and have not been disappointed, we always get the butter chicken with rice and a side of naan. It is to die for! We also got a complimentary dessert this time and it was absolutely delicious! This will definitely be a weekly thing! *Also the portion sizes are definitely generous!Great job guys!
I ordered butter chicken, chicken curry, and chicken biryani. It came to approx. $35. The container of chicken curry ($10) had 3 small pieces of meat in it, mostly bone!! 3" tall plastic container 4" wide. Not big by any standard and basically a container of sauce and bones. The rest was sauce. I was shocked. The butter chicken was the same, 3 pieces of meat mostly bone and the container about 3" high and 4" across was filled with sauce. Neither was worth $10 each. The butter chicken came with rice which was a generous portion but it was not a rice dish I ordered. The rice clearly outweighed the butter chicken by a LOT!! The biryani was the cheapest item at $7 and it was a full Styrofoam rectangular container, but I had to watch out for eating the bones in that too. I would be embarrassed to serve this and call myself a restaurant. I would never order from here again, and I'm disgusted that I paid $35 for two containers of sauce and bones and two containers of rice. Terrible value, horrible food, and although the flavour was good, no one wants to eat bones!!!
Ordered take-out. Lady on phone was pleasant. Specifically Asked if Tandoori BBQ was Breast meat which she said it was. Unfortunately it was all dark meat. Disappointing…if you enjoy dark meat, you will love it. It was flavourful. Salad was fresh & rice was flavourful. Naans were fresh too. The dishes we ordered looked NOTHING like the pictures online.
Nice spacious place. Food was delicious. First time in barrie, we were looking for a good halal restaurant. It was a great experience and good memory.
We ordered halwa puri and lassi --- breakfast and it was amazing and delicious food. If somebody in Barrie area then you will love this place to enjoy your food. Owner and their family is very polite and cooperative and I like their sitting place, clean and neat. Washroom are nice and clean. Please visit and enjoy and friendly environment. So I am giving 5 star because they deserve it
