If I could leave 0 stars I truly would. I brought back my beyond meat and vegetables and told them I tried it and another coworker tried it to confirm my dissatisfaction. They wouldn't offer me anything let alone an apology. They told me they make it the way people like it everyday, which wasn't the point. I explained to them it was extremely salty, unedible and for 17 dollars I truly feel robbed. I could have bought multiple meals for that or even groceries. It is very sad they don't take accountability for their mistakes and wrongful ways of customer service. I was upset with the way things were handled. Will never be going back, sad to think as I was loyal to this store for over a year or more.
This place is not good. I ordered chicken shawarma with rice. Every single Mediterranean place I have ever gone to always includes a little coleslaw or at least some vegetables. They didn’t offer turnip, or pickles, or anything. Apparently that costs extra. How cheap! They looked at me like I was out of my mind. The food Is mostly yellow rice with a layer of lukewarm meat over it. the food is so bad I’m throwing it out. The rice is simply yellow - no flavour, no saffron, it’s dry and like they used yellow food colour. I asked for my chicken “hot”. Now I love spicy food, but if your idea of hot is sprinkling what seems like tons of ghost pepper seasoning on the meat so that it’s almost inedible, then warn your customers. I had a few bites and now have a really upset stomach. I’ll take my business back to Shawarma Royale which has delicious shawarma and offer good customer service too.
I love the sauce or I wouldn’t be a customer at this location at all. I’ve ordered 4 times and each time it took over an hour, food was cold and stale by the time it arrived. You’re giving the chain of restaurants a bad name. Since this seems to be the most common review, written over and over…. It might be an idea to make sure the food is actually fresh and hot. This could also become a big issue for you as it is a health and safety issue and if reported to public health or they come in to health pass, you could lose any good standing you have and receive warnings and fines, even closure.
By far the worst osmows I've been to. The only flavour the chicken had was pepper. The turnips taste off to me and I ordered a salad but the ratio between lettuce and chicken was 10% lettuce 90% chicken. I asked for a salad with chicken, not chicken with salad. If the chicken had flavour, maybe I'd be more satisfied. What a waste of money. I'll never come back
After the rude behaviour of the last male owner I swore i wouldn't be back. I got desperate and wanted to give them another chance. The food is ok at best however the owners don't care about the customer experience, I don't know what kind of loud screaming music they play.... I couldn't wait to get out. It like walking into a seniors home with load rap music playing. I like rap but is it appropriate there? Who knows. To top it off the people at the counter are self absorbed robots, no greeting just head down and watching each other. Erie feeling. Felt like they hate their job and don't want you in the store. No 3rd time. Hope Osmows head office reads this and fixes this place as its in a great location.
buy Shawarma from Osmows a couple times a month so I know what they cost. I go in to cundles location and ask for a regular chicken Shawarma, extra onions, extra parsley, extra turnip and humis. With a bottled ice tea. The till says $23 not $12 .. I asked so expensive. They guys says for extra toppings.. only this Qsmows does this! Total rip off artist! I cancelled my order and went to a different location. GUESS WHAT $12 ....I have complained to head office about this scam
I come to this Osmow's every couple weeks as it's one of the few places in Barrie that's open late. Over the past while, I've noticed that food quality and quantity has been steadily declining, while prices have been rising. They've even taken down the advertisements and signage for daily specials. Tonight, I ordered a COTR medium size, which apparently is a 'value deal' on their online menu for $8, got charged $10 at the store, and to cover up the overcooked rice and smaller portion of chicken, the server smothered it in so much sauce you couldn't see the food underneath. There was also a massive pile of chicken that had been pre-cut off the spit and was drying out on the flatiron grill, enough to serve dozens of platters simultaneously when they had no other customers. When you can't even cook rice or chicken properly, it's no wonder the ratings are plummeting. The only bright side is that the staff are still as friendly as always.

I would give this place zero star if i could. The owner is cheap. It always feels like they are trying to rip you off. Try to give a little as they can. Would not put sufficient sauce. Try to cheap out on everything.I live by close to this location but go across the town to get it from other location.If you really wanna improve just replicate the service provided by south end barrie oamows. Go there and buy food couple of times. And then ananomously buy same order from your place and see the difference in freshness, quality and quantity.
I love Osmow’s and I frequent the Essa location very often. That being said, on Christmas Day the only option available was this Cundles location. Maybe it’s my fault for ordering on Christmas Day but there is no excuse for being served stale rice. I ordered my regular chicken on the rocks but I could immediately tell there was a stale taste with the rice. My plastic spoon stank so bad every time I brought another bite of the rice to my face. It’s as if they had precooked the rice ahead of time and didn’t store it properly. Be careful if ordering from this location. (I attached a photo of clear discolouration)
