Excellent in service and the food was fantastic..I do prefer the steak with its own juice leaving out any side sauce etc...same goes for the exquisite coconut shrimp..a little lemon and that's it..Delicious as was the romaine salad ..a good size portion as well..and of course creme Brule to complete our meal.. good people they will look after you and any concerns if any.. thanks for having us can't wait to return.. Went here on a Thursday afternoon for a ladies lunch. It was wonderful! I've been wanting to come here for a while now and I was not disappointed! The egg of the day (omelet) and side salad were perfect, and well....let's just say the martinis by colour were to die for! I will definitely be back! Bringing my husband next time and coming for dinner.
This is our go-to restaurant in Barrie. Kent Smith who has successfully operated Michael and Marion’s for 30+ years ensures the entire experience is A+. The food is outstanding (so much flavour!) with a very interesting menu including several daily features. Unique appetizers /starters offer an option for lighter fare on the bar side after work or casual outing with friends. The atmosphere is chic and cozy. Ryan, the dining room manager takes great care to inquire about any special occasions and provides the special touches that make your evening perfect. If you are looking for something other than the chain restaurants and want a high quality dining experience at a reasonable price…this is the place. Kent’s wonderful wine selections have never disappointed. We can’t seem to talk ourselves into going anywhere else. Beth and Mike
Showed up a few Friday evenings without a reservation. Bar was full, tables were full but the owner gave us champagne and made us comfortable while we waited for a spot to open up. Our servers were fantastic, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. It’s so nice to be in a place where service is done right. Food and drinks were delicious too!
Such a fabulous place to check out. The service and atmosphere are top notch. Our bartender, Chyenne, was absolutely phenomenal. A great conversationalist, excellent drink recommendations and overall a lovely human. Their martini list is definitely worth checking out. I look forward to coming back.

Michael & Marion’s has been a part of all my latest milestones! 30th birthday. Wedding. 1st lunch out with my first born. Milestone anniversaries with our parents. & most recently my 40th celebration. Food and service is always top notch. I wouldn’t trust anyone else!!
Our team at The Mortgage Station has celebrated many occasions at Michael and Marion’s, specifically our annual Christmas party. We were so excited to celebrate a late holiday dinner with our team now that Covid19 Restrictions are allowing us to dine at our favourite place as a group! Once again, the food was outstanding by all accounts everyone left raving about our gathering. Cris, Kim, Amanda and Marg took special care of our group, making sure our cups were never empty, and our belly’s were full. The service, food and experience at Michael and Marion’s is second to none! Strongly recommend for your private parties, or casual dinners! Came here with my family many years ago, and a friend turned me back into the Side Door recently - it’s my fave place in town to take friends for an intimate evening in an amazing atmosphere. Great food, wonderful wine list and the service always is excellent. Very welcoming vibe.
