Female Server Complaint About Poor ServiceTo the manager,I am writing this complaint regarding the food and service at your restaurant. On behalf of my family, I would like to highlight a few points regarding this issue. We had early dinner at your restaurant on July 16, 2022 - Saturday. We expected to have a great time at your restaurant, but unfortunately, we did not. This female server at your restaurant behaved rudely and unprofessionally. She is a white female, with light pink balyage/highlighted long hair, around mid to late thirties, 5'5 or 5'6 height who works at the outdoor patio. We had to wait for a long before we could place the orders. She spoke rudely while taking the orders. She rudely told us to move to the other table far away from the other customers while she was giving us racial and discriminatory remarks about us being "these brown people" with a condescending attitude and high tone of voice. You can actually identify her right away with the description stated above as she was last seen staying inside at the Kawartha Ice Cream shop at the patio with another server with black hair later that day. You can go figure that out easily who it was with the color of her hair.Poorly cooked food is another issue that made us regret visiting your restaurant. We were surprised to find out that the chicken in the curry bowl that we had ordered were still raw.The chicken tasted a bit sour, and the vegetables was badly cooked. We complained about the food to your staff, but they refused to respond.Besides the poorly served food, we also felt uncomfortable with the unhygienic conditions at your restaurant. The food was stale. These awful conditions are harmful as they might get food poisoning and other health problems. The service was very pathetic and ruined our beautiful evening. I insist you recruit well trained and well-behaved staff who knows how to behave with the customers.Thank you.Yours sincerelyThomason Delta
The food was quick and tasty, what stood out for my son and I was the friendly service. We actually felt like our server was happy that we were there. Good job
Waited over 20mins to try to paid my bill, used the washroom. Sat down at the table again...try to pay at the bar...was made to I was no one. To busy chatting with friends it was. wanted to go get a pack of smokes ( at the hotel resort) in the same parking lot ..he came running with the debt machine???? Made me feel like a criminal!!! I paid the 174 for 2 sandwiches and pasta. Of course I wanted get smokes from my room and enjoy the musicNot...if you are a honest person may enjoy this
Great food and friendly service provided. A cozy little spot with live entertainment which wuz great to listen to.
Went last week. Gentleman greeted us and gave us a table by the window. Waiter then came over, got us drinks right away and helped us by giving us suggestions from the menu. I had the burrito bowl and my wife had a quesadilla, along with a couple of beers. This wasn't gourmet, and we weren't expecting that. The service was excellent, food was better than roadhouse quality and price wasn't too expensive for a resort setting. We were really happy with our diner experience. We can't remember our waiter's name, but he was excellent.
Love the food and the combination of sauces and everything made it that much more appetizing! ??Our server was amazing and the portions were filling!
This place is exactly what you want from a lodge bar and dining room. Big fireplace to warm up by, good eats for everyone to enjoy and a view of the valley. Try the grilled cheese ? it's fancy and fun.
How awesome is it to ski right up to a chair with an enclosed fire burning? Then remove your skis or just walk over from one of the resort buildings and maybe have a bite to eat or a beverage and watch skiers. It’s pretty cool, nice bar/ restaurant, neat and tidy, lots of seating and very friendly staff, my friend and I walked over to have a drink and watch some hockey, glad we did, solo musician playing, fire burning, not over crowded, very nice spot, do check them out if at the ski hill, cheers
The short version: when you eat here, expect to get mediocre food that is overpriced with good service. My family and I dined in here for lunch, after a morning of skiing to warm up and fuel up before heading back out onto the slopes. There's nothing else in the area except the on-resort dining options unless you're willing to drive 10-15 minutes away, so you're a captive audience when staying here. So, it's expected that prices would be quite high, as you're also paying for the convenience of walking straight in off the slopes, then you can head straight back out. That convenience is undeniable. The food, however, was less than impressive. I don't need, and wouldn't expect a gourmet meal when I'm out on the slopes, but I'd like to enjoy my meal if I'm paying so much for it. The highlight of the meal was the mozza sticks. Everyone loved the appetizer and we could easily have had another order. Crispy batter on the outside without being too greasy and soft, melted cheese that strings out when you're taking a bite. Sadly, it was all downhill from there. Both the grilled chicken and black bean avocado burgers were bland, and the chicken was dry. My daughter had the penne with alfredo sauce, which I tried, and it was like eating plain pasta. They were at least able to get the fries right though, as you could tell they were freshly prepared - hot and crispy without being burnt or reheated. My son's pizza was decent, if a bit doughy. The service was great. The staff was friendly and very attentive throughout our meal, so that was a plus. I just wish they did a better job on the food. We even specifically avoided dishes like the big bowls as pubs like to add them to the menu since they have become so popular, but they generally do better at cooking up the comfort foods like burgers and fried stuff. Maybe go even safer and stick with a hamburger or fish and chips? In the end, if I visit the resort again in the future, I'd still consider returning here, but the main factor would be the convenience of being right next to the slopes. Set your expectations low for the food and you'll be fine. You'll get sustenance in your belly and then you can be back enjoying the slopes in no time.
I called ahead to get an idea if my daughter and I could get a seat and was assured that it would be fine. When we arrived we were promptly taken to a table and left to sit for 20 minutes. Nobody would make eye contact with us or take our order. We couldn’t even get a drink at the bar. They said they would send someone to take our order and they did send someone over. They took the order of the table that came in 10 minutes after us. I’m a local and I try to support local businesses but this is one that does not deserve my business or yours. Be warned. This was the second time I tried to get a meal there and they never fail to disappoint.
