Was highly recommended by our Wedding Planner and had an initial positive meeting in June '21 for our daugher's wedding. From there it went downhill! After multiple emails and calls with getting no reply of acknowledgement or apologies, we received in November (5mos later) a basic copy and paste menu. No thought or creativeness or even an apology for not replying. Just an email with a lackluster menu. We were extremely patient, but this caterer is way too risky and lack of trust to use for any important occasion.

We went with Cravings because they were a preferred vendor and were one of only a few choices that were allowed access to the kitchen at the venue. They cancelled on us Thursday, the day before the event, VIA EMAIL, saying because we hadn't paid a deposit or signed a contract they "booked other obligations". I spoke with them on Wednesday confirming everything and less then 24 hours later they cancel on me. I also said during that phone call on Wednesday that I hadn’t paid a deposit or signed anything and was told that it was fine and someone would get in touch with me about it. I was worried for a while that something like this would happen but was reassured SEVERAL times that everything was set. I made a revision to the menu via email on the 4th of October to which Ashley replied that she would get back to me the next day to confirm those changes. She didn’t. I followed up via email on the (Thursday) 7th because I hadn’t gotten a response. With no response by the (Friday) 8th I called Ashley. She told me it was all handed over to the event coordinator.. even though at this point I STILL hadn’t received confirmation about the changes, made a deposit or signed anything. Late afternoon Friday both the event coordinator and Ashley had contacted me via email explaining someone would be in touch the following week. I was also asked via email to send in the contract at my convenience. When I got an email from the event coordinator on Tuesday morning asking when she could get in touch with me, I responded saying anytime would work at which time I would have paid. No one ended up getting in touch with me on Tuesday. I contacted them again on Wednesday saying I was available to talk up until 4:30pm and when I was called I said I still needed to pay. I was told not to worry as we had made changes to the menu again that day so the invoice would need to be updated anyways. Every single time I spoke with someone over the phone I was assured that everything was confirmed, even when I had mentioned I still hadn't made any payment. After responding to their CANCELLATION EMAIL someone got back to me, via email again, connecting me with another caterer. Luckily they helped us out by delivering food. We were suppose to have one staff and a chef at the event but that didn't happen because it was so last minute. I ended up having to do a lot of food myself as well as all the setting up, take down and getting everything necessary to have food at the party THE DAY OF.. all while taking care of my 6 month old baby. I am honestly still in shock that this happened and that the people who likely made the decision to cancel on me last minute didn't even have the decency to even call to apologize.

I am out of town and worked with Ashley to deliver a care package of frozen meals to a loved one just outside of Barrie. Can not say enough wonderful words- from ordering, to timeliness and they even helped me include a message in the delivery. Amazing customer service.
Enjoyed a coffee and sandwich at cravings. Amazing quality and appropriate price. Very good coffee. Cobb sandwich was amazing. Took some taro root chips home- delicious. Small cafe to sit and enjoy and large selection of take home items. Hidden gem in Barrie. Highly recommended.
For the price the quantity and the quality is really lacking. The picture shows one thing and what we received was quite different. A number of the items were very spicy, and when serving spicy foods the customer should be given the option. Not everyone can tolerate hot and spicy. The dessert that was served was stale, the pastry was hard and the lemon was rubbery and cracking. So we definitely won’t be back and I definitely would not recommend.
Cravings is incredible!! The food that comes out of this amazing place will leave you speechless, and wanting more! Today we ran an ice diving course down at Centennial Beach. Sean and Ashley brought down about 8-10 pizzas for the whole crew. They had creative names, which were the 3 digit airport designation codes, each of which represented a flavour explosion representative of that city. We couldn’t get enough. It’s rare that I’d say I’d have paid twice as much for restaurant food, but this would have been worth every penny. Sean and Ashley... congratulations on creating something really special. Looking forward to more!! You have to check these guys out and have them cater tour next event!!
Our family received the thanksgiving meal for 6-8 people from cravings. It was amazing !! There was more than enough food for 6 people plus leftovers. My kids especially loved the roasted vegetables. The turkey was so moist and flavourful. The gravy was perfection. I can’t tell you how impressed I was with the quality of the food. I will be disappointed when the leftovers run out. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an elevated home cooked meal.
