My trip to Cocina Mexicana was mind-blowing ?I really thought I had tried authentic Mexican food before I visited here but they do the BEST job! I really think this place is a hidden gem. All the food was super fresh (literally just made)Must try: the Fish and Shrimp tacos (ask for the hot sauce too for an extra kick ?️)The staff are all so friendly and the owner is super sweet. I'll be telling all my friends to come and give this restaurant a try!
Great food, great service. Been open 3 years but the kind of attitude and exuberance of a place that just opened!
This restaurant is phenomenal! I went here with some friends and every person that works there that we saw was very respectful, friendly, and outgoing. The food is outstanding as well. I've been to a lot of restaurants and hands down the service and quality of food here make it worth your time and money to go.
Just waddled out of Cocina Mexicana after eating way too much of their excellent food. The host was friendly and outgoing. As I didn't have much experience with Mexican food, I asked him to order for me. Everything he brought me was great. Will definitely return.

Tried to go in as a group of 2 couples at around 5:00pm to have an appetizer and a drink, restaurant was nearly empty but were told there was space for dinner. When we told the host we were going to have a drink and appetizer he told us this “wasn’t that type of place” and we were told we would not be seated. Pretty disappointed and mostly we’re confused why this happened as we weren’t being rowdy or rude/disrespectful. Will be going back again to try to eat dinner, but not a great first impression as we had been excited to try their food and give them business.
Nothing is good. Not authentic don’t even waste your time.
Great food, very friendly team. We've been a number of times for group Birthday dinners as it's a great place to do that.
Came here 2 years ago. It somehow got better. Best restaurant in Barrie. Food is amazing and authentic Mexican. Staff and service is out of this world. Honestly, I want to give this place a 6 out of 5.I believe it was the owner that served us. You can tell he really cares.
Went there on a Sunday, all-you-can-eat!! amazing food, gracious family run hosting, every dish was delicious !! made my birthday very special, the Gentleman who runs the restaurant, very enthusiastic... staff is super polite! will share this hidden gem with all our Barrie friends!
