Good food, welcoming space, pool table, TV. Food was good, as there was various different types of food, including waffles, mince pork on rice, fried chicken with waffle, and more. For the waffles there are desert or normal. The place was soothing there are multiple TVs with different channels. However the pool tables are not free and it is in a different room.
Went on a Monday evening at 5:30 and enjoyed a mostly empty space (lots of takeout orders but few dine-ins this evening) for two hours. A chill atmosphere with quiet music in the background. Service is quick - order at the counter, receive a buzzer, sit at a table of your choice, and pick up your order from the counter when your buzzer goes off.
I am absolutely going to make this place my go to now. First time trying it today. Very clean, service was awesome. The food is absolutely fantastic ?. My now new favorite place. I had the almond soo guy and chicken egg noodles. The best ever ❤Thanks ?
Called for take out. The woman on the phone was very helpful in picking out a dish that was gluten free for my mom. Turned out it was actually tasty too! Portions sizes were generous and I enjoyed the food. If you need dessert try the macaroons!
WOW! My friend and I ordered bubble tea the other day for the first time (we have both never tried anything from ChaFresh before) and we were extremely impressed. The milk teas were so creamy and the sweetness was perfect, I ordered grass jelly and she ordered pudding and they were really silky and delicious. THE CUPS- just fantastic! For the price that you pay which is pretty similar to other places, you get a really nice cup that can be reused, has a boba straw hole, a regular straw hole and a sipping hole. AND a plastic biodegradable straw (thank God not a paper one ?)Their menu is huge, we couldn't believe the amount of things they had to offer, and we plan on trying everything! Definitely my go to place for bubble tea now, can't wait to try the food and desserts.
About as good as you can get for Taiwanese & Chinese food in Barrie. Love the pool tables and relaxing vibe of the place. The noodles were solid, and there were a lot more spring rolls than I expected when I ordered one. The disposable everything for dine-in felt like a little bit of a waste though.
We recently ordered takeout. Overall the food tasted good and fresh. We loved the rice bowls - tried popcorn chicken and sausage minced pork both were good. However, we found the portion of appetizers were pretty small ($7.95 for about 10 thin slices of Taiwanese sausage and $8.95 for fried chicken chop in a size of normal frozen chicken patty)
Found this little place on my way up North. Very surprised about the quality of the food and bubble tea. The popcorn chicken was on point and very tasty. You can tell the authenticity of a tea house by their original milk tea and it was very good. This will be my go to place whenever I travel through Barrie from now on!!
Great food and service!
Usually have decent quality from this place but we just ordered tonight and the food was not great at all and we ordered the fried calamari ($10.95) and it came with 4 pieces of actual calamari, 3 large tempura broccoli (assuming to fill space) and onion rings?!? (Apparently in the description it tells you this which is very misleading and the item should be renamed to a fry basket or something other than the smallest amount of the item in it)Very disappointed and frustrated as we spent over $80 for food we don't really care to eat.
