The fish was very good, the fries were great, large portions... the only thing is you should have homemade tartar sauce, those little packages of tartar sauce aren't that great.
Fantastic spot! Incredibly clean shop with helpful and friendly service! Large portion of fries, Nice large cut of Haddock with delicious crispy batter. Salad was crisp fresh and delicious, even had some nice fresh radishes! Would give 6 stars if we could!
Bought an order of fish and chips for take out. Got home and there was no fork or knife with my order.This food was dry and over cooked. Ended up throwing out 3/4 of it. What a waste of 20 bucks.I highly recommend not ordering from Captain George's fish & chips.
Awesome fish and chips spot. The fish is lightly breaded amd the portion of fries was huge. The staff are friendly and have a good knowledge of the menu.
Purchased a family pac of Halibut and chips and found the fish pieces getting smaller and also the past order fish tasted like cod/haddock not halibut, when I contacted the store they mentioned they changed there supplier of fish, regardless of your supplier the taste is the taste you can tell the difference. Don't try and pass off a cheaper fish for a more expensive price. They were not willing to resolve the issue. Not going back better quality at Danny’s and Halibut house. Customer service and quality here has gone down hill.
Food isn’t the same as it was when we use to go. Halibut tasted off, was chewy and has a light brown colour to it. Called and talked to a younger lady who did say she was sorry, but didn’t do anything about it. She did mention there fish supplier has changed?
Best value, huge generous serving of fish & chips, delivered to your table piping hot fresh out of the fryer ton of fries with cole slaw & lemon wedges. We have tried every fish & chip place in Barrie and this is the only one for us.
Really good Halibut & fries. Not greasy. Large portion. I called ahead & it was ready when I wanted to pick up. Hot food. Good parking. Physical distancing was in place.

Best fish and chips this end of Barrie. We get the 2 pc halibut and chips. Two good size fish portions and lots of fries for 2. Always polite staff. Keep up the good work in these tough times.
