Absolutely incredible experience at 147! The restaurant can feel small but I find that’s common with Italian places. The server was lovely and the food was TOP NOTCH for everyone. Absolutely delicious, 11/10 recommended and I will be back!! Espresso martini was perfection too

Fantastic meal with professional service. The staff were very helpful and very accommodating. The food was fabulous. The quality and servings were very good. The waiter was very professional and very attentive. This was my first time going to this establishment and I will return. Well done!

Me being Italian has nothing to do with this review the staff and the team at 147 are absolutely phenomenal. From the minute we walked in which we did come a little early they still seated us to the moment we walked out absolutely five star service\\n\\nThe food is incredible we had a mix of things and there's nothing that did not disappoint our party everything was phenomenal everything from the bread to the specialty Gorgonzola steak the team at 147 deserve praise I think this it's probably the one of the best if not the best Italian restaurants in Barrie. Excellent job to the team of 147

Went to this restaurant for the first time tonight and it was amazing!! The service was incredible, our waiter was very attentive and friendly, the food was incredible and the view of the lake front was great from our table. The risotto special was one of the tastiest things I’ve ever tried, I can’t wait to go back!!!

The ambiance is warm and pleasing. Josh our server was friendly and competent. The food was spot on. All of us said we would go here again.

On march 20th 2022 we had one of best culinary experiences here at 147 Dunlop street shared with good friends. The atmosphere was bubbly \\u0026 peppy with patrons smiling and conversations flowing with music in the background. The lighting was so perfect That you got to see what you were eating on your plate and the smiles on peoples faces every time they took a bite of one of our courses. The staff at the Ristorante were on the ball! They were quick attentive and had excellent listening skills because I never had to repeat myself when it came to ordering.\\nSaving the best for last, the chef RICHARD or Rick I must say has has put this restaurant on the map for Barrie. His culinary skills are saavy and ready to satisfy any pallet any occasion any evening\\nBecause of his experience in the industry! If you’re looking for an excellent night on the town and don’t want to drive to downtown Toronto than this is the place for you keep up the good work!

It is a very nice lakeside restaurant, full of people on Saturday evening. Food is wonderful. We hope to be back again in summer someday.

Absolutely delicious. Even to start, the bread with the balsamic vinegar and the oil was delicious and its included. I had the seafood pasta with the tomato sauce(I can’t remember the name, starts with an F) and my man had the salmon. Both were amazing!!! I also loved how you can see in the kitchen and watch them cook. I’ve never experienced that before and I loved it. Our server was also amazing, he was very attentive but also didn’t bother us a whole lot which I like. Plus he had a great sense of humour which I always enjoy. Will be coming back here in a few weeks for my birthday for sure!!!!

I was a solo diner from out of town on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant’s atmosphere is cozy and the food was delicious. I can’t say enough about their warm hospitality and impeccable service. From the owner, to the manager to my server (who was working her very first night there), everyone was extremely attentive and so friendly. I had a risotto with red-wine braised short rib off the night’s feature menu—it was spectacular in flavour and size. I had such a great night here! I’ll definitely come back here the next time I’m in the area.

A cozy and appealing restaurant in the heart of Barrie. 147 Ristorante offers excellent food, generous portions, and at mid range prices. The Fruti di Mar was my favourite main dish. It is not only flavourful, but I can say for the first time ever, I was unable to finish the portion. I discovered it tastes just as good if not better as a leftover. The Capri salad was also a hit with me. Once again, generous portions of cheese made this a winner. The grilled calamari was done to perfection. The daily specials are also worth a try. Fish and meat dishes especially. I have been there several times and each time i forget to take photos as I'm so looking forward to the meal. I'll try to update this review with photos the next time I'm there. They have a good wine selection which will suite all tastes and budgets. The restaurant s always buys so make reservations well ahead of your planned visit. Parking in the downtown area is not as bad as one would think especially if you like to have your dinner early as i do.
