Wow - the outside facade doesn’t hint at the magic within the walls. We drifted in trying to escape TO bound traffic based on the reviews. I nearly missed the place - south half of a two storey semi just south of Kingston Rd. We squeezed into a tiny parking lot already full at 4:30 on a Monday. The bar was filled with friendly regulars and we were made to feel welcome.Our food and drink kept the positive vibe but the icing on the cake came via an observation. A family arrived with three small kids they were seated in a quiet dining room off the bar. I caught the delightful bar maid/server giving instructions for a quick store run. As she prepared two glasses with a umbrellas another popped out to get the requested chocolate milk. Now that’s the kinda place you want call your local.
Great spot if you want to get to know the ajax community / neighborhood folks. Full of friendly regulars. Burger was very solid.
This is by far the best pub in the area +. The large selection of food is amazing, the service is amazing (they remember your name) and it is overall an awesome community (local) pub. Thank you for the service. I recommend this pub and will definitely be back again.

This review is delayed. Had a really great dinner a The Village Public House back in October.. Great prime rib, roasted potatoes were also really nice. Husband had the grilled cheese which is cooked with cheese on the outside as well and yummy fresh cut fries. Waitress was very friendly. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their other menu items!

stumbled across this restaurant as we were in the area and hungry and looked for something that was open. Really happy we found it, food was great, owner was so friendly and the place was full, you felt like you were hanging out with a bunch of friends. I will definitely go back when we are out that way again. I had the burger and it was clearly home made not frozen and cooked. Nice size portion and really tasty, the fries were also homemade and the prices for the food are fantastic. A must try
Had been to the Village Public House once before for mostly a few drinks and an app or two, but today went for the full meal experience. Both the special Mahi Mahi and the Inside Out grilled cheese were amazing. And like some other reviews - the fries!! Best I've had in a very very long time. Better than chip trucks. Will be returning soon to try more of the menu! Very friendly server and other staff as well.
