This is a large venue with an upstairs terrace as well as a big second floor lounge. Excellent choice of locally brewed craft ales. Some good food on offer too, and generous portions if you're hungry. Well worth a visit if you're in Halifax; very central, just near the Public Gardens, which are beautiful.
?? East Coast Lobster Roll Contest Taste: meaty but much mayo Lobster portion: ok Freshness: very good Bun: standard toast Fries: not bad Präsentation: simple Overall: 6 out of 10 for 24++
Loved this place. It was recommended to us by staff of a store we popped into and it was well worth it. In the door you walk up a flight of stairs and the restaurant is there. We chose a booth by the window and had a nice view of the street and public garden entrance. The waiter was really nice and funny. I had the blackened haddock taco with fries and it was amazing. Would love to return here to try more menu items.
A Canadian Tourist Review: I was in Halifax on an 18 hour layover. I will admit we only came in here because most restaurants are closed on Mondays and the name stood out.The Potachos satisfied my Canadian cravings after being away for 8 months. It tasted really good.Reasonably priced. Friendly service. I would eat here again.
I always have a great time here! Awesome food, attentive and kind staff, great beer and a wonderfully cozy atmosphere.Highly recommend the Pub Club, it was amazing as always.
Great rib special on Wednesday's , full rack with a side for 15 dollars .Staff could be a bit more attentive towards drink orders . Other menu items can be pricy & some don't come with sides at all .
Had brunch with a side pancake. The meal was great but this poor poor pancake was flat and over cooked. I brought this to the serves attention and I declined a new pancake. Not her fault she's just the server...BUT when a complaint is made and the food not eaten, why would u charge me for this pitifull pancake???? See pic of the great meal and pitifully pancake ?
great drinks. great bartender
Great breakfast! Friendly staff and service was a good speed. The home fries were super hot and the waffle was good. My boyfriend loved the breakfast sausage and he doesn't normally like those. My scrambled eggs were very bad... They didn't taste real, like they were made from liquid egg or something. They were wet and undercooked, but the rest was super!
We always enjoy this restaurant. The kids had Kraft Dinner and a cheeseburger. Our meal wasn’t at a peak time so it was fairly quiet in the restaurant. The calamari was tasty as an app and the mushroom Swiss burger was large and very good as well. The wait staff were knowledgeable about ingredients and we didn’t have to wait long for our meal.
