Never had a good Bubba sub (donair sub w/garlic spread) in 15 years that I could find in the city that tastes just like a pizza place in Cape Breton I used to eat at. Ordered one tonight to test it out and I wasn't disappointed at all. My first time eating at Tony's and can see it becoming new favorite spot. Donair spice was just right, the amount of sauce and toppings was perfect and staff was great! Will definitely be back.
Tried this place during my visit to the city in the hopes of tasting an authentic halifax donair. I can't attest to its authenticity but I absolutely loved it. I got extra meat and only wish I could've bought a second one to take on the plane. The meat was flavourful and the whole wrap was rich. Wasn't even too expensive, compared to some of the other meals I've bought. Would absolutely buy again
Stopped here today for lunch. The large donair is huge! The meat tasted perfect. The sauce is nice and sweet. If you love to eat donair's, you must come try Tony's. I will be a returning customer.
Tried the Famous Donair here. It was tasty. A little to sweet for my liking. Otherwise good food. The regular fries portion was a lot for the size.
I had the famous Halifax Donair, for my only visit here and I must say I loved it! Not dry at all like I read in a comment, sweet-sour and spicy (but not too much). And nice onion rings. Employee super nice! Definitly recommend!
When in Halifax I had to try a famous donair and glad I chose Tony's. It had lots of flavor and a good size portion. Really enjoyed the sauce also. Would recommend to anyone looking to try a famous Halifax Donair.
This is NOT the Tony's I know. For over 30 years I have enjoyed their delicious donair and one-of-a-kind sweet sauce that makes this place a go-to whenever I visit Halifax. I ordered a medium donair with extra tomatoes and extra sauce with no onions. Drove from downtown to Larry Uteck Drive to enjoy my food only to be disappointed with this; a dry and tasteless piece of heartbreak. Thanks for ruining my night and wasting my expensive gas!!!
Came here for take out and ordered a 9" donair pizza. They had quite a number of items on their menu so it was a little hard to decide. Service was friendly and the turn around was pretty fast. It took me 20 minutes to drive back home and finally get to eating the pizza. Surprisingly the pizza still tasted delicious, and I can only imagine what it would've been like had I eaten it right off the press. Would recommend ?
Just had a best donair wrap in Halifax. The seasoning was perfect, donair sauce was balance on the point not too much sweet neither sour, but perfect. The pita break was so fresh. Thanks for serving best donair in town
10 minutes of wait for a small cheese pizza. Totally overpriced. The place is old fashioned and the QR outside do not work. Overall, not nice place to take out your pizza if you don’t have time to wait. I don’t have idea what donairs are. No Wi-Fi for clients. Staff waiting time chatting instead of working.
