My friend was recommended this place, so we thought we’d start our night here. What an amazing experience from the moment we walked in we were greeted and accommodated considering how busy it was. I really like the atmosphere, the colours, the wood the warmth and design.The service was next level the best recommendations, drinks made on the spot according to what we were feeling. The bartenders knowledge and service was fantastic.The food was truly amazing the dumplings were the ⭐️ of the night, we ordered more than a couple orders.I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Halifax!
Had a wonderful first experience at The Ostrich Club in the hydrostone celebrating my partners graduation today. We tried all kinds of the amazing dishes that they offered. Each one better than the other. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I have had in Halifax! Our server Lindsay did a good job, and all of the cocktails were incredible. I now see why this is considered one of the best restaurants in Halifax!
Excellent service. Fabulous vibe. They can accommodate vegans - mushrooms, tacos, Brussel sprouts, xi’an noodle and pot du crème for dessert.Wicked wine and cocktail list.Everyone eats here - young, middle-aged and the mature crowd ?
The atmosphere and service were decent, but the food and drink were overpriced and disappointing. Between the group of us, we tried nearly all of the cocktails on the menu and they were all wildly overdone (too many ingredients all confusing each other). We ordered a classic Paper Plane but the bartender left out lemon juice. Not to mention that the bartender broke about 1/2 dozen glasses during our time in the restaurant and the whole place smelled like smoke from the gadget being used to add smoke to cocktails.
We reserved a table for the Valentine's day and it's above my expectations. The food is uniquely decorated, cooked, and seasoned, reminding me of European and Mediterranean flavors. We even ordered a pork collar to take home and it's delicious! Restaurant layout and setting is warm, cosy, yet chic and classy. Their staff are professional and welcoming. Totally satisfied and highly recommended
We were looking forward to this dining experience, but unfortunately we were let down. Over easy eggs were cooked hard. The breakfast sausage had a piece of something very hard in it that hurt my teeth when I bit into it. I presume it was a piece of bone. The quality of the ingredients themselves was very good, however, it was ruined by poor execution. For an expensive meal, most people would expect them to get this right. I should have brought it up with the server but it was my girlfriends choice for her birthday brunch and she would have felt like it was a bad decision had I made it obvious. I left a tip because it wasn’t the servers fault and she was trying. I cannot recommend eating here however, and will not be in a hurry to come back. I hope others have a better experience. I was disappointed with mine.

It was an unbelievable experience.The cocktails are out of this world ?. XO drink is highly recommend.I love this place it’s small and cosy yet lively and fun. A great night out with friends or spouses for dinner and drinks.
The ambiance here is amazing, the service just as good. But the value for money is very low because the dishes are small, even for a "small plates" place. I split 5 dishes with my wife ranging from $15-$30 each and we both needed to get a chicken sandwich after all that to feel full enough to move onto dessert. If I visit this spot again I'll eat a medium sized meal before arriving.
